We recently connected with Nkenge Major and have shared our conversation below.
Nkenge, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
It was 2008, I wanted to make a change. I want to master my talents and teach others how to over come their environment. Dance has taken me and show me so many places and k want to continue that. My first dance crew I seen was rock steady crew on a new year party from Madison square garden after that I was hook.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My dance mentor Michele “haze “ fields she was the was one who form me and my crew talents… if not for her you wouldn’t see me and many others, she show us how to get connected who to be around and make presence know….she showed me how flip between my dance and fuse them together. My crew FNM KREW is still affect,we in different areas of art

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
People saying you inspired and saved them. You can create this and that all you want and can get frustrating and depressing. But when some say hey are you such and such and they give your flowers it’s an amazing feeling. People words and change lives you never know who’s watch or hearing about You

Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
I have a lot of resources that I’m just now noticing. I’m a peaceful get it on my own guy but, I’ve learn to ask a lot of knows me and my talents and they want the best for me
