Why this is important because these day to day heroes, those who raise us, teach us, protect us , provide us education with their effort provide us with the tools to success, for me my mother and father, my teachers, my friends , my mentors… in recognition to them… ABOV Headwear was born.

My passion for hats runs deep, and it all began in my childhood. I owe my love for hats to my mom, who was always donning stylish headwear herself. From a young age, I started wearing hats, and it quickly became a part of my identity. As I grew older, I became a collector, seeking out hats that represented the places I visited, the sports teams I followed, or the brands I admired, like cars. However, I noticed a gap in the market. There were no hats that perfectly complemented a weekend outing with friends or a visit to special places without turning me into a walking billboard. Moreover, most hats available were filled with bright, vibrant colors that didn’t align with my minimalist and more mature aesthetic. Additionally, many hats were rigid and heavy, lacking the comfort I desired in every piece of clothing. That’s when ABOV Headwear came into the picture, fulfilling all my needs and desires. Now, with ABOV Headwear, I can express my style while enjoying lightweight, comfortable hats that perfectly match my aesthetic and reflect my individuality and style.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Let me share with you a story of resilience that encompasses my professional journey, filled with industry switches, geographical transitions, and overcoming numerous challenges along the way.
Early in my career, I started as an accountant, seeking stability and a promising future. However, I soon realized that my true passion lay in the dynamic world of marketing. Embracing change, I made the bold decision to switch industries, diving headfirst into pharmaceuticals first. The transition was not without its hurdles, as I had to learn new skills and adapt to a different professional landscape. But I embraced the challenges, pushing myself to grow and thrive in this unfamiliar territory. Then after a great opportunity that was presented to me I decided once again to make a change into the world of medical devices.
Within a remarkably short span of 10 months, my determination and hard work paid off. I was selected as a trainer for the LATAM Region, responsible for cross-training teams across various countries. This recognition affirmed that resilience and adaptability were key factors in successfully navigating career transitions.
But my journey didn’t stop there. Seeking new horizons, I embarked on another significant change, moving from Puerto Rico to the United States. This transition marked a pivotal moment in my career, as I faced the added complexities of acclimating to a different culture and professional landscape. Undeterred by the challenges that lay ahead, I pursued opportunities in the medical device industry.
The path to success in this new field was not without its share of setbacks. I encountered rejection after rejection during the interview process, but I refused to be discouraged. Each rejection became a learning opportunity, a chance to refine my approach and demonstrate unwavering determination.
Finally, after five interviews, I found myself standing on the threshold of a life-changing opportunity. Despite the initial setbacks, my resilience propelled me forward, and I was ultimately hired to be part of a global team within a reputable medical device company.
Nowadays is all about my life as a entrepreneur with ABOV HEADWEAR, trying to establish this brand in the market, knocking on people doors after multiple no’s but keep my focus and consistency in order to impact people
Continuing my journey of resilience, I ventured into the realm of entrepreneurship with ABOV Headwear, determined to establish this brand and make a meaningful impact in people’s lives.
Knocking on doors, reaching out to potential customers, and tirelessly promoting ABOV Headwear became my daily routine. I understood that building a brand takes time and persistence. It was about creating genuine connections, one person at a time, and sharing the story and purpose behind ABOV Headwear.
