We were lucky to catch up with Eric Gonzalez recently and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, Eric thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s talk legacy – what sort of legacy do you hope to build?

A while back, I attended a mastermind. On this mastermind one of the three days, they took us out to a cemetery and asked us to write our eulogy. The eulogy I wrote is what I see as the closest description of the legacy I intend to leave on this earth.
Eric Gonzalez, a loving son, brother, father, and family member, lived a long life alongside his family. He was a god-fearing man strong on his faith, loving at heart, an entrepreneur, and a philanthropist. Eric was a servant leader who led many people throughout his time by inspiring and helping them grow and excel in accomplishing their dreams and desires. He created organizations/foundations that provided opportunities to those in need and donated immense wealth to organizations that promoted change and helped important worldwide causes. Eric lived on the foundation of his core values, spread continuous happiness and love, and made a difference where he was present. He possessed contagious energy, determination, and will and continuously pursued excellence and shared it with others. We will remember him as someone who willingly did much for many in return for nothing. Gone but his legacy will live on.

A passionate entrepreneur with great focus, discipline, and determination, looking to contribute to the greater good. Seeking to remain a great entrepreneur through ethical and superior business practices while simultaneously creating profound relationships and impacting those I come across. I aim to help and lead by example all those who surround me and inspire them to be the best person they can be to themselves and the rest of the world.

As founder of Regions Commercial Roofing, Inc, my main focus is to lead a company that uses innovative practices and up-to-date technology to provide clients nationwide with excellent service and deliver top-of-the-line roofing services.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

Creating a personal brand has helped establish a reputation within my market. Being able to display efficiently who I am has helped build and continuously grow my reputation. My favorite quote states that our level of personal success and development determines our success in other areas of life. Establishing a personal brand and having people within my market recognize what it stands for has built my reputation in my market because anything I am doing or stand for on a personal level, I am also implementing or transferring into my businesses. My businesses are built around what my personal brand and I stand for as well as the collective core values and beliefs of those who are part of my organizations.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?

The best source of new clients for me has come from attending networking events, masterminds, and growth conferences. It is essential to mention that when I attended these events, I never intended to acquire new clients or pitch to anyone. I always intended to attend these events to expand my knowledge and meet others I could connect with and learn from. When attending these events, I always add value to the whole event itself. I do this by contributing to any discussion during the event if and when I’m knowledgeable on the topic being discussed. I make sure to ask questions that provide value and insights to others. I make sure to connect others at these events with people I’ve met at those events or people from outside the event part of my network.
