Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Angeliz Bruno . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Angeliz , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. How did you learn to do what you do? Knowing what you know now, what could you have done to speed up your learning process? What skills do you think were most essential? What obstacles stood in the way of learning more?
How did you learn to do what you do?
It all started with a casting call for local ladies in Florida who would like to perform in a pro-wrestling series. I saw it and applied. Got a call and started training at Team Vision Dojo with a wonderful group of talented ladies. Although the series did not continue, I choose to pursue the career part time along with writing and directing short films.
Knowing what you know now, what could you have done to speed up your learning process?
Had i known that a few years later i would have had a call to audition with WWE in person at Vegas in 2021 i would have definitely chosen to train full time. When it comes to training for stunts and Pro-Wrestling safety is important and shouldn’t be taken lightly. Your life is literally in the hands of other professionals and even though everyone is professionally trained, accidents can happen on or off camera.
I would suggest not speeding through courses and definitely take the time to perfect each stunt learned. It’s better to learn the same movement 100 times over and over than to learn once and get hurt.
What obstacles stood in the way of learning more?
The finances that come with paying for courses and the distances of the schools and dojo’s or stunt choreography for filming have all been about two hours away from home and work so to help accommodate, i would have to try and work around my full time work schedule to work first and train right afterwards. I always try my best to accommodate to every situation so that i can continue to train locally and pursue my dreams.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
what sets me apart from others is my unique qualities, such as being flexible and open minded to learning new things every single day, even if it means doing it part time to slowly reach my goals without giving up. I have a very diverse background not just pro wrestling, but also being a writer, producer and Director. I have had struggles and faced anxieties that happen behind camera with personal things that happen in life and yet will make sure to deliver a 100% performance on stage or in front of camera that’s my discipline.
I’m very proud of myself because I’ve been on this journey alone. The support came after people slowly saw the results especially when i had the opportunity to audition in Vegas for WWE back in 2021. No one saw it coming because it was kept private until it was time to almost leave Florida. It was the most intense training and conditioning i have ever experienced and i truly can’t wait to do it again some day. I’m very grateful for NXT and WWE Recruit for giving me that opportunity that motivated me even more so today to keep pursuing Pro-Wrestling.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
I had to unlearn a few behaviors. I had always told myself “there’s always tomorrow” but i quickly learned that tomorrow’s never promised. You have to make the most of your auditions Today and deliver your 100% to what you truly love.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being who I am, is being able to give back to my community and sharing these experiences with my fans and my followers on social media.
Occasionally, I get comments and surprisingly messages in my DM‘s. People look up to me or wish they have the confidence that I carry on my social media and I always tell them “if only you knew lol”. It’s not easy following our paths and yes, there will be moments where you would want to pivot and start something new but in that moment of stress and struggles, those are the moments that will test you if this is truly what you want to do and pursue with your life and if you truly want what you want, then you are going to fight for it, cry about it and make sacrifices. it will all be worth it when you can finally look back and be thankful for where you are today.
