We recently connected with Alexander Coronado and have shared our conversation below.
Alexander, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Setting up an independent practice is a daunting endeavor. Can you talk to us about what it was like for you – what were some of the main steps, challenges, etc.
It took me time to really get the swing of things but it all came down to networking, asking the right questions, listening and instantly applying the things I was learning. Well if not instantly then as soon as possible because there was a couple of things mentors had recommended but took my time starting because of how tedious I imagined it to be.
I was constantly asking advice from everyone I knew to see in what form or fashion can I be better. How can I improve my image, my words, my events, my reach to the Dallas metroplex. Always listening, even if I didn’t agree, just listening and trying to understand others perspective. Staying consistent but evolving, getting better with every event I held.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
5 years ago I never would have guessed that I would be holding space for groups of people to safely navigate there inner landscapes Mind, Body & Spirit. I now provide services to help beings reconnect with their natural flow through energy work and immersive sound experiences.
I provide 1 on 1 session, group session, ceremonial and private experiences, corporate wellness workshops/classes and mood setting for private parties.
Overall I provide a safe space for people to relax, release and revitalize all of there being through energy, frequency and vibration. Most of the time clients are sitting or laying down in a very comfortable position and sometimes even fall asleep, which is totally welcome. But ideally I am wanting people to stop, breath, and take a break from this experience we call life.
I have spent lifetimes working with frequency, energy and vibration and In this lifetime, I will continue to learn, grow and help the earth and the beings that live on it while I am here.
If you are ever curious, I feel that I provide excellent Sound Experiences, but everyone has a unique vibration, and those vibrations resonate with people, sound and energy differently. So find me at a sound bath here in the DFW or a sound healer near you to find what feels right..
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Consistency! Good marketing helps for sure but consistency in the services you are providing, consistency in the idea and look of your brand and consistency in the numbers all add to a beautiful foundation for your business.
When you have all this flowing evenly, everything you put out will have momentum, familiarity and recognition.
Everyday should be a practice of polishing up your brand so that every week that goes by, it gets easier and easier for the public to tell exactly what it is your serve. The clearer the picture, the easier it is for people to decide yes or no to your service.
A consistent clear pictures gives me good vibes, it gives yes vibes. So for potential clients, it could be a no today, but in the future it could be an easy yes when the opportunity presents itself.
Other than training/knowledge, what do you think is most helpful for succeeding in your field?
I feel that it is important to get out there and if you haven’t already, start putting yourself in the same spaces as your competitors and colleagues. Observe, pay attention, be present. Learn from there successes and there mistakes. Takes notes on what you love and what you don’t.
Learn from them as a customer, pay for there services, see how they serve there product. Learn as a volunteer, as a helper, but keep in mind, you are there to see what feels right for you so that you can create your own unique experience without copying or stealing others creations.
Use what resonates with you and make it your own.
One thing I did do which I felt made me successful was to just do it. This was still at the time during the come down of the pandemic so people were still iffy about large groups of people. But I could no longer wait.
I honestly didn’t feel qualified, I wasn’t a very good public speaker, I didn’t have a lot of experience, but I didn’t let any of that stop me. I pushed myself into an uncomfortable position so that I can help people even though I didn’t feel ready or qualified.
The first master I worked under told me “if you wait till you feel ready, you will never be ready”.
In these holistic practices I have definitely stepped up to the plate to hold space, even when people didn’t feel I was qualified for it. But so what, I felt a need for something, I wanted to help, I want to hold space. I’m not perfect and I don’t know everything, but I am responsible, I’ve managed large programs, I am learning and growing.
I don’t regret anything, I’m proud to say I did it and more importantly Ive gained experience from just doing it on my own and not waiting on anyone to hold me hand.
