We were lucky to catch up with Odessa Feaster recently and have shared our conversation below.

Odessa, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission the drives your brand?

When I was a little girl, I had a vision of what true love was supposed to look like. Unfortunately, I did not have the best role models to emulate, so I found myself operating off trial and error. It took failed relationships and marriages for me to get to the point of not just going through the motions but being honest with myself with facing the realization that I had become my parents. I began to take a moral inventory of myself and dissect the components that contributed to why I often settled in toxic relationships. After a 27-year marriage failed, I was determined to fall back in love with myself. So, I took a 3-year self-supporting sabbatical to do just that. After the 3 years of working on myself, God brought the most amazing Man into my life. Suddenly, the vision of love I had as a little girl was finally a reality. My husband was in a 20-year marriage prior to me, so together we both know how important the covenant of marriage is. We have invested years wasting energy on the wrong people, so why not give your everything all for the right one. We decided to start a business for successful marriages called Raining Manna LLC. Our business offers pre/post spiritual couples’ guidance to help couples create the necessary tools for a happy ever after. My husband Rev. Kevin Feaster is an ordained minister so at Raining Manna LLC. we also offer union services.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

I mentioned before my parents were not the best role models. They were not as bad as others, but I witnessed things as a little girl that can alter the way a child should see a marriage. I do not blame my parents, because they were only giving us what was given to them by their parents. I learned at an early age it is best to be transparent in a relationship. My husband on the other hand experienced the opposite as a child. He witnessed his parents’ love for each other which is still going strong 56 years later. In essence, he wanted what he always saw, and I wanted what I rarely saw. Together we are a perfect balance, and that is why we can offer spiritual guidance to couples without any preconceived judgments. At Raining Manna LLC. we are committed to getting to the core of what makes a marriage successful and how to live healthily. Kevin and I work hard on maintaining a marriage similarly compared to classic love stories. What sets us apart from others is we both have put in over two decades in relationships, and instead of giving up on love we were determined to find the right one to share the rest of our lives with. At Raining Manna LLC. we have couples-building exercises that will draw you closer to your mate. We will have workshops so couples can meet other couples to create a community that is on one accord, it is vital to know that you are not alone in every aspect of life including your marriage.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

I met my husband/business partner while working at an automotive plant in 2004. We knew each other for 8 years prior to becoming good friends, and later dating which led to marriage. I could not ask for a better husband and business partner. Together we have combined our past relationship experiences with the new and fresh experiences we have encountered together to give our clients the best of both worlds. Our advantage is that we know the ins and outs, and difficulties of marriage, and we have mastered working through anything that comes our way.

Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?

The most effective strategy for growing our clientele is us being an example. An example to the world allowing God to be present in our lives and marriage. Without God, we would be nothing. Before we started our business, we would constantly get approached by couples seeking advice, and asking how we got our marriage strong. Our clients are growing rapidly because we are walking billboards for our business. People can see the love Kevin and I share, and they want to have it in their relationships. It is our mission to officiate unbreakable unions that will last a lifetime.
