Just, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Risk taking is something we’re really interested in and we’d love to hear the story of a risk you’ve taken.

Life is about risks, how willing you are to take them and how prepared you are before the outcome. I believe TRUSTING YOUR GUT calls for a certain level of discernment in your own life to see what you will and will not allow, but it keeps you as your most authentic self. End goal is to show you all the sides of me you don’t see, not the sides I think you want me to be. An artists’ responsibility is to raise the consciousness of the people around them, if not what we doing it for?

I took a risk in 2020 during a global pandemic moving out of my parent’s house to a small apartment in downtown Miami. I never looked back. Where I am now is a product of me placing myself in an uncomfortable situation and figuring it out as I go. That came with many obstacles such as parking tickets (if you know Miami, you know), almost getting robbed at gunpoint to surviving the fast pace lifestyle.

Now In 2022, I can say all that I have learned has molded me into the man I am today. With this “risk” taking idea, I was able to put on a annual Poetry showcase called ARTiculation at the Arsht Center in downtown Miami, I hosted my own show Sensual Saturdays which is a poetry and wine experience and I have opened doors and met people I would have never been exposed to had I just did it.

So my advice to you or anyone listening, just do you. Take that risk. Buy that LLC name for your business, move out, marry that partner you been contemplating spending the rest of your life with. We only have today, tomorrow isn’t promised. <3

JUST JOHN is an Artist from Miramar, FL (Broward County)

Just John’s first love is poetry, but has taken the responsibility of diving into music and songwriting.

John has performed in multiple facets of the arts all around south Florida including events during Art Basel, Panthers Got Talent, People Matter Fest, etc. with audiences of over 1,000 fans watching.

One thing John takes pride in is his delivery of what he calls “real lyrics”. He speaks from the heart in all his creative content. He wants to impact people to get up and go do something, whether that be to go vote, buy their mama a new house, or even start up a business!

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

Being authentic and transparent. I approach conversations much like I would Approach any business opportunity and vice Versa. I think the more honest you are with yourself and what you want the easier it is to articulate that to others.

I think with holding a facade you’re bound to get tired eventually. Being yourself shows there is no other replication of who you are to be. You are one of one.

I am in the process of doing so now, you can follow my journey through my music and poetry!

My next debut project will tackle all things involving “Trusting Your Gut”.
