We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Sanja Zdjelar a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Sanja thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Do you wish you had started sooner?
From this point of view, where I am today, I say that it is good that I started my music business at the age of 19. Everything happens for a reason.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I am Sanja Zdjelar (SiZi – artistic name), a 20-year-old violinist from Skopje, Macedonia. My musical story began at the age of 6 when I first had the opportunity to realize that this is the work that will fulfill me spiritually in the coming years.
At the age of 19, I started my solo career, i.e. as my own artist, introducing myself to the Macedonian public through social networks.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
My audience grew drastically when I realized that for public work in the case of music you need to have charisma, ideas that will come daily and discipline in what you do because motivation for success alone is not enough.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The very feeling when you stop and start your performance is something that not all of us musicians can experience in the same way. As an artist, I expect a smile and good energy, and I always get that because I put a lot of effort into my performance energy and approach to the audience.
