Alright, Wendy thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.

One way I have Taken risks with my business is the decision to direct and coordinate a fashion show. I recently had the opportunity to put together a festival and fashion show at Macy’s at Centerra in Loveland. I feel the fashion show went amazing! I took the risk, and it paid off with a successful fashion show, showcasing my talents as a personal fashion stylist. It turned out to be a spectacular event showcasing business professional attire, 80s hair band rock music, and 80s hair band hairstyles! It was so much fun to be able to style teens to dress for success! I absolutely love styling. It is so rewarding to see my clients happy faces when they try on the outfits that I paid for them. The same was true with the teens that I styled for the fashion show. As I styled them and they were trying on clothes, I could hear them say things like “ I feel like a lawyer in these clothes”, “ I feel like a business owner going to a meeting”, etc… teaching teens, how to dress for success, and showing them that they can feel confident and successful As they enter the adult world was extremely fulfilling and definitely worth the risk that I took having the fashion show.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

I am a 46 year old grandmother of a beautiful 4 year-old little girl who has uncontrolled epilepsy, mother of two amazing children who were both born critically ill. One of them had to receive a heart transplant at two months old to survive, the other was on a heart-lung bypass machine her first month of life. Both have grown up to be amazing healthy adults. I am also a United States Air Force wife of 27 years.

I have an extensive background in sales, marketing, and special financing as well as styling others. I used to be 300 pounds and struggled with self-esteem my whole life until about 15 years ago. Now, I love to help other men and women see their beauty within themselves and inspire others to be bold, sexy, beautiful, independent, and confident. I love fashion and helping other people with their passion in fashion! My goal is to help others FEEL LIKE A ROCKSTAR in anything they wear, by dressing and teaching people how to shop and dress for their personal body, elevating their personal image and style ultimately raising their self-confidence!

I hope to inspire men and women to dress sassy, yet classy, with self-respect (something rare in this day and age). I teach people how to dress fashionably and flattering to their individual body types and personal style. I hope to inspire women and men around the world to be strong, sexy and love themselves for who they are. But most of all, love yourselves and help you feel like a rockstar wether it’s to go to the gym, taking care of babies, or meeting up with clients!!!

Yes! The books that have impacted me the most are: The Secret & The Power Booth by Rhonda Byrne and Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill.

Have you ever had to pivot?

When my son was born almost 28 years ago, he was born with half a heart. This was unexpected. As throughout the pregnancy I thought he was a healthy baby. I was only 18 years old and single. I had to pivot immediately and make the lifelong decision to put my baby boy on the Heart Transplant list. He received a heart at two months old and like I said, it’s now almost 28 and doing fantastic!
