We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Mineeya Miles. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Mineeya below.
Alright, Mineeya thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Is there a heartwarming story from your career that you look back on?
I remember in college writing in my journal for God to please keep me still and listen for the path he has for me. For many years I’ve had numerous ideas I wanted to share with the world that pertains to health and wellness. I sometimes overwhelmed myself because I wanted to do all the things I set my mind to at once. But it didn’t work like that. I wanted to train people, meal prep for others and empower them on their wellness journey. I had to remind myself one step at a time. My last semester of college I started juicing and trying different recipes that I wanted to share with others. God listened to my worries I wrote in my journal and gave me my first stepping stone to sharing my journey of health and wellness.
Mineeya, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Mineeya Miles I am 22 years old and I have my own juice brand and aspire to be a wellness enthusiast. I am from Prince George’s County Maryland and health & wellness has always been apart of my life. I enjoy juicing and encouraging others to live and maintain a healthy lifestyle. I originally started juicing for myself during COVID when I noticed my community around me was a food dessert. For those who may not know a food dessert is an area that has very limited access to affordable nutritious food and beverages. It wasn’t until 2 years later I that I began to share my recipes and juices with others. I want to be able to provide my community with quick and healthy juice options. I hope one day to open juice bars across the nation in other communities with limited healthy options. I am most proud of myself and what my brand portrays. I want my potential clients/followers to know everything takes time and where you start isn’t where you will end. Your body is your temple, take care of it and it will thank you in the long run.
Do you think you’d choose a different profession or specialty if you were starting now?
If I could go back yes I would still choose the same profession. While in college at THE Delaware State University I majored in Kinesiology (exercise science). My courses and internships encouraged me to help others reach their fitness goals and help me gain the scientific knowledge of how the human body functions. During classes, I learned to combine a holistic approach with Anatomy, Biomechanics, and Psychology principles to help increase the physical mobility of an individual. My courses and my love for health and wellness has made me who I am today.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
I believe the most effective strategy for growing clientele is staying consistent. Social media plays a huge role in todays society and if you stay consistent on social media your followers will rise and behind that comes the clientele. But to keep that clientele I believe you have to build relationships with your customers, interact with them daily and always show great customer service. If you treat people well they’ll always comeback LOL.
