We recently connected with Jaethebaddieboss and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Jaethebaddieboss thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What was it like going from idea to execution? Can you share some of the backstory and some of the major steps or milestones?
We live in a world that is forever changing. No matter what you do, It can be done virtually too. I began to realize that the skills and education that I had gained throughout my journey could be used outside of a physical building to help others who actually needed and valued my expertise. After being fired in 2021 and just unhappy with where I was in life I decided that I wanted to create a business that I could be proud of and that aligned with my natural creative and strategic vibes.
In 2014, I had the idea of starting my Virtual Assistant business but didn’t truly take it seriously. I revisited the idea again in 2017 and 2020, but it wasn’t until 2021 that I gained the confidence to just go for It.
I had to have a real conversation with myself about the life I truly envisioned living. Did I really want to work for someone for the rest of my life? Did I want others to have that much control of my time and FINANCES? Did I really want to stay in working atmospheres that did not pour back into me? Honestly, I was really just tired of giving away my intellectual property to still feel unfulfilled in the end.
I thought, why not start a Virtual Assistant business? I have a Master’s in HR Management and tons of administrative experience that could be used to help CEOs, Founders, and Influencers streamline their services, so I just went for It. I took the risk, and although taking this risk resulted in me losing my job and steady income, I knew It was something that I needed to do for myself. I’m so happy that I just went for it, though. Now, I want to help others discover how they can build virtual businesses that align with their passions and skills and be in control of their time to truly LIVE life not just survive in It.
After my first month in business, I doubled my monthly income from my previous job and that’s when It hit me, that It could actually work, I could actually be successful in the field of VA.
Within my first year of business, I scaled and became an official 6-Figure Business Owner.

Jaethebaddieboss, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I am Jaethebaddieboss, owner of The Jae Company, A Virtual Assistant business dedicated to helping CEOs, Influencers, and Founders streamline their services through Online Business Management, Operations, Creative Strategy, Creative Direction, Brand Development, and HR.
Along with owning this business I also help Virtual Assistants reach their financial goals by reaching 2-4k in extra income monthly through my brand Jaethebaddieboss. My main purpose is to help them discover how to turn their skills into profit virtually while still being their authentic selves.
Throughout this journey I am most proud of all the people I’ve been able to help, the places I’ve been able to go, and most importantly the impact of this world through Virtual Assisting that I’ve been able to create.
This journey can be challenging at times and you may lose a lot and hear a lot of no’s but the most amazing part is the yes’s will come and you will gain what you’re dreaming of in due time. Never forget that we create the world that we desire, so choose your words carefully, stay positive, and know that great things will always happen to and for you.

Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?
As an Online Business Manager and Virtual Assistant Coach, I stress the importance of building a solid team constantly. The fastest way to scale your business is by building a team. It doesn’t matter if it’s just one person, part-time, or as needed, everyone needs help. A lot of business owners burn out early on because they’re trying to do and be everything within their business and it’s impossible. You have to create room for more and you can only do that when you build a team.
You must communicate and learn how to help others do what you do effectively along with creating safe spaces for your team to maintain high morale. Things in the workplace have changed drastically, people aren’t going for a lot of foolishness these days, so you must be transparent, secure in your leadership, and know what you need, who you need, and clear vision and strategy on where you’re going.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
Life is all about pivoting, you have to know when It’s time to jump. So many people stay in places, relationships, and jobs much longer than they should which results in feeling and being stuck. Looking back on my career and my life I see time and time again how I’ve gone from one level by simply having the audacity to listen to my intuition and my body because It always tells you when it’s time to shake things up.
