We recently connected with David Joyner and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, David thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
My company’s mission is to be the resource to all of our clients that we wish we always had. As a creative, early on there were so many ideas I had and so little money to get them to materialize that I would lose passion for the idea. I want my company to always help out clients keep that passion and bring their ideas to life, regardless of budget

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I started out as a creator in the music field—first a rapper, then a rapper & producer, and finally a music producer. Along the way, I always hit challenges in not only finding the resources I needed but also in finding genuine people to work with.
As I progressed in music production, I felt the itch to shoot videos, and photographs, fly drones for aerial shots and express myself via graphic designs. It was here that had the idea to forge this into a business. A business designed to help creators and companies that were in need of creative services; regardless of budget or prestige of the brand.
82Infinity Media was birthed as a company of creatives designed to help creatives and businesses that needs help with the creative department. 82Infinity Media is essentially a creative house whose goal is to be everything that I wish I had as an artist and creative on my journey. Regardless of budget, we enjoy helping those with a vision, bring that vision to life. We take on projects of all sizes and budgets (purposefully) to ensure that money and monetary gain is not the sole motivating force for the business.

Any advice for managing a team?
Mental toughness. What is mental toughness? Mental toughness is the ability to adapt and overcome obstacles, setbacks, and adversity in your life. It’s the ability to take a hit and get back up. Mental toughness is the ability to stay positive and stay motivated when everything around you is falling apart.
One of the things that I found in my life that’s been very helpful in developing mental toughness is having a plan. You see, if you have a plan, it’s easier to stay focused and stay on track when everything around you is chaotic.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
Genuine interest in helping the artist and companies.
While bringing in revenue is a necessity to keeping the business afloat, EVERY artist, creative, or business we work with has to be an entity that has an ethos or brand tenets that 82Infinity Media stands by / aligns with.
Never do it for just the money, NEVER!
