We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Zach Wolf. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Zach below.
Zach, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What sort of legacy are you hoping to build. What do you think people will say about you after you are gone, what do you hope to be remembered for?
I am hoping that the legacy of my company will be a social impact above all else. Growing up, I saw so many artists that I looked up to die at a young age (Mac Miller, Chester Bennington, and many many more). This disturbed me and broke my heart. Music is such a powerful thing for people; so how could the people that were leading this industry all die off so young? Probably a lot of reasons; but I came to realize that the music industry (generally) doesn’t treat artists like people, but rather profit. At Zach Wolf Productions, we are working hard to have a massive impact on how the industry is done. We hope that our company and the individuals on our team can help create a different culture for artists to ‘grow up’ in; a culture where they are valued as individuals with families and purposes that go beyond music. We want to call out the gold in our artists, and value their humanity above all else. I hope and pray this is the impact we leave long after we are gone.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your background and context?
For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to be successful in the music industry. I have (literally) dreamed of ‘making it’ as an artist and a producer for as long as I can remember. I got my first recording software at the age of 12, when my dad bought me a very old version of Cubase LE and downloaded it onto his old HP Laptop.
When I graduated College in 2015, with a degree in Business Management, I shortly after began online coursework on audio engineering and music production. Eight months later, I finished my first self produced Album, The Hunt.
In what I think was honestly an act of God, this album got me international recognition, and shortly after I was signed by London Artist Manager Henna Riaz (360 Royalty Audit, HRR Entertainment). A few months later, I went to Italy to produce my first professionally made songs with House of Glass Studios (Whitney Houston). I spent the next 2 years being mentored by some of the top producers, songwriters and teams of various Major Artists in the UK and US.
Shortly after this management relationship ended, I was signed to Sat Bisla’s team with A&R Worldwide (Adele, Katy Perry, LMFAO, Jessie J). I received national and international radio play for music I wrote and produced while working with this team.
It was after this stint that I began to find my passion for producing other artists’ music. In 2021, I got connected to The Voice and American Idol artist Caroline Sky. We produced and co-wrote her single ‘Company’ together remotely from my apartment in Portland, and Zach Wolf Productions was born.
Since that small beginning, our team has grown quite a bit. We now are a team of five including myself, and our goal is to bring recording artists the best music production available to them at an affordable rate. We want to help maintain the integrity and sound of each individual artist, while meeting industry standards for production, mixing and mastering. Music production is hard (we know) to do alone, so we really want to be the staple producers for our artists. We love it when our artists come back to us for each and every project they release.
We produce a wide range of genres, from Pop, Hip Hop, R&B, to Classic Jazz and Soul.
We also offer fully remote production, and known for our high value on communication. We have produced artists in LA, London, Australia, India, Canada, and many other states around the United States. Wherever in the world you are, we can help you make amazing music!

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
Our company has a HUGE value for fostering a feedback culture. What we mean by that, is that we want every customer’s raw unfiltered opinion. We want you to be happy, and we will do whatever it takes to make sure that you are. We send all of our clients an anonymous survey at the end of working, and this allows our clients to feel safe to share their honest experience with us while allowing us to get the raw feedback we so desire. If there are holes in our business, we want to know so we can fill them! We have found that having this sort of mentality in our company has fostered incredible growth and continues to as we make our main priority customer satisfaction (seems obvious, but you’d be surprised how important this is).
Can you talk to us about how your side-hustle turned into something more.
It was kind of a crazy time when we started our business. Technically, we started operations in January 2021 (9 months after the start of the Covid-19 shutdowns). Some would say that this was the worst time to start a business. But, when we were considering starting things up (the business started as me and our now Head of Operations and my old college roomate Christopher Weeks), the shutdowns provided a window that we didn’t see coming. Artists were now all stuck at home, with no ability to get to studios to make new music. So, we started producing remotely. Not a lot of producers or production companies were doing this back then, so we were probably one of the first to really catch on to this wave. This allowed us to build a cliental that was all over the globe, and we’ve been rolling with that business model ever since. We’ve been doing it full time since March 2021, just two months after we began operations.
