Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Xavier Wymbs. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Xavier, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?
Success is the master of doing something the average person cannot attempt. Success is never easy and should never be taken for granted. Determination, ambition, and honesty are key roles into shaping someone for success whether it’s career related, goal oriented, etc. In order to be successful you have to be determined and stay consistent. Every inch of success comes with a price you pay. For example, you want a 6 figure business but, are you ready to work sleepless nights or not receive much of a financial gain starting off? If your answer is no then you’re not ready. Not only does determination drive a person towards success but, ambition and honesty are really key factors. Being successful means you’re usually going against the norm and willing to take a risk no matter the circumstances. Brutal honesty is needed to always strive for greatness within oneself. Knowing your strengths and weaknesses will only help you improve and climb closer to the success ladder.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
Hey how are you!
Introducing you to HairLae the top virgin hair company you could ever come across. Getting into the hair industry took a load of research and strategizing. I officially opened my business on July 22nd, 2022 however, HairLae has been in the works since early 2021. It took a lot of faith, sleepless nights, hard work, and discipline to get where I am now and still going. In just 6 months of being opened HairLae is a flourishing business. HairLae has had celebrity interactions throughout social media, and clients (LaeBae’s) all across the United States. The main problem I solve for my clients is giving them top quality hair and lace matched with affordable prices. Beginning August 2022, I officially added Automatic HD Lace & 220% Density to all hair and laces, whether it’s wigs, frontals, bundles, etc and that set me apart from others. I’m overly proud of all the reception HairLae has been receiving from customers, stylists, etc. I am overly thankful for all the LaeBae’s I have received and still are receiving, keeping them satisifed is the real reason behind the brand.

How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?
The funding story for my business will forever hold a place in my heart. I was working overtime at my part-time job at Krogers, while still purchasing and testing out hair however it wasn’t enough finically. I began to sell candy, chips, snacks, juices, etc at my school and around the neighborhood to help raise money to go towards my business. I never told anyone the reasoning behind me selling the snacks because I wanted to keep my business as private as possible until release but, that was the real reason. As the months went on I started to make more money and began to test out more hair, wigs, bundles, etc until I found the perfect one. I was selling out of snacks daily and used every penny to start up HairLae. From the hair, branding, website costs, and more.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Creativity, consistency and customer engagement is the best advice I could ever give to someone building their social media audience and even presence. You need to consistently be on every platform and interact with the customers all over. For example, on Instagram HairLae has a weekly posting schedule. Three page posts a week to keep content fresh and exciting and pull in weekly sales. Out of those three posts, one post is a funny quote or relatable quote to get Instagram users throughout the week and the other two posts are regarding the products to promote and pull in sales. On Instagram stories I constantly do polls every other week to keep customers engaged and make them feel appreciated. Treating your customers like there your best friend but, in an appropriate manner is the way to go. Good customer service can go a long way and set you apart from other competitors. Creative content can do the same as well, making relatable posts between your products and trends can always make you a viral sensation and keep customers engaged.
