We were lucky to catch up with John Kerry recently and have shared our conversation below.
John, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. So, naming is such a challenge. How did you come up with the name of your brand?
In 2011 I founded a Business Management company called Kerry Consulting Group and rebranded the company in 2022 with its new name Xstrataflo.
Xstrataflo is very important to me as everything about the name represents what my company stands for and how we should operate.
X stands for finding a client’s X Factor and identifying what makes a client and their business special.
Strata stands for a layer or a series of layers of rock in the ground which for us represents building a strong foundation for our clients.
Flo stands for developing the best strategies to increase a clients Cashflow.

John, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Growing up, I was always passionate about organizations, structure, and leadership. From running student organizations to being involved in a plethora of community-based organizations, business has always been a fabric of my personality. After graduating college, it was only natural to continue on that path.
When I graduated college, I decided to launch my own consulting company versus working for someone else. My consulting company focuses on elevating entrepreneurs by providing services that include but not limited to Business Strategy, Branding and running the day to day operations for clients.
Most of our clients are professionals whose focus is on their craft and not necessarily on business aspects like HR, Finance or Admin. This is where Xstrataflo steps in and takes lead.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
The reputation within my industry has always been centered around authenticity, consistency and results.
From day one, clients will know my standards, my vision, my personality and what my intentions are for their company/brand. Authenticity is key to developing true relationships with clientele.
Consistency is required to develop a brand of trust. Every professional must be consistent with their operations to provide the best sense of stability and understanding for those who trust in you with their services.
The best part of reputation building is delivering results. You can have all the authenticity and consistency in the world but if you are not providing the results that your clients seek, you are doing reputable damage to your business.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy for growing our clientele is word of mouth due to our reputation of results. Social media is an effective method to increase clientele, but what happens if one day Meta, Twitter were to shutdown in a snap of a finger? Thousands of businesses would fold pretty quickly. Here at Xstrataflo, we embrace innovation with the understanding that the tools we use now may not be here tomorrow. This is why person to person interactions are so important so a relationship so strong can be developed and that individual or individuals can be the marketing voice of your company.
