We were lucky to catch up with Aubre Fox recently and have shared our conversation below.
Aubre, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
A friend and I found ourselves as newer small business owners and realized between the two of us we had quite a network of friends and we were constantly introducing and connecting people. One day we decided that it would be best to bring all of these women together to support one another in new business ventures and help each other learn from others areas of expertise. When we wanted to learn something we would have other women in the group who specialized in that area teach it to us.
At the time we weren’t aware of any groups in the area supporting young professionals find their way as a new small business.
Upon founding our group we wanted to be a space for not just entrepreneurs, we wanted to be a supportive group for all women. This is something that is typically different about our group.
We rotate through 3 different types of events Social, Educational and Community service. Since we focus on these 3 pillars each event is different, and draws a different crowd. This allows our members and event attendees the ability to meet and connect with women with all different backgrounds and careers.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

Her mission is to create an inclusive and supportive environment for everyone, and she genuinely wants to help other ambitious female entrepreneurs achieve their dreams.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
We created our audience by the women that had started with us on day 1. Part of our original strategy was we would highlight our members and share with our community who they are and what they specialize in. From there we spread the word about these amazing women and share what they were up to in their businesses.
These women would then share with their friends the features and mention us to each of their personal communities as well.
Our advice for newer companies would be to start with who you know, excel in your craft so much that people are willing to sing your praises so much you barely even need to ask them too. If you’re authentic people can feel that. We never hard sell anyone. We really just want everyone to feel welcome and included and we have received positive feedback that we have done just that.
Our tribe has grown and continues to grow very organically just as we have originally intended.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Have you heard of 2020 (eye roll)
We went from being an in person group to having to adjust our model and focus on our members.
We did a few zoom education events during this time as well as stopped charging for membership. We didn’t feel as though it was fair since we were no longer able to go about our events as scheduled.
During this time we leaned into our community and started featuring ALL women owned businesses in Rochester. We tried our best to support women where we could.
I believe our community loved what we were doing during this tough time and when the world opened back up they were there ready and excited to get back to in person events and bring all of their friends with them!
