Alright, Yvette thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Do you take vacations? Why or why not?
Absolutely! I love taking vacations and love planning them even more. I try to travel at least once a month, sometimes for leisure and sometimes for work. Traveling helps me help my clients find the best vacation for their needs. I believe everyone can travel regardless of their budget and I enjoy vacations with my family and friends, especially my grandkids.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My career in travel started out of a genuine passion for vacations…and all that comes with it! I enjoy every stage of the planning process and love helping others make their travel dreams a reality. I’ve been traveling since I was 5 years old and I don’t see that stopping anytime soon. I’ve been in the travel industry for around 3 years this 2nd time around. I was a travel agent over 20 years ago and started it again in 2020. I feel that I provide a personal service to clients who need assistance with finding the vacation of their dreams. I’m detail oriented and I’m available to my clients before, during and after their travels. I provide quotes for air/hotel packages, tours, excursions, cruises for all around the world. I’ve traveled to Europe and several Caribbean islands myself and I try to travel monthly whether it’s a weekend getaway or a week long trip to my favorite beach. I’m a very positive minded person and personable, outgoing and very detail oriented. My goal is to travel to every Caribbean island!. I work with my clients to find the best vacation within their budget and needs and I have their back if anything goes astray. I’m always up for a challenge and will try my best to find the perfect vacation for you.
How did you build your audience on social media?
I handle all of the social media for my business and it is hard at times but I try my best to stick with it. I schedule all of my posts and share them to all platforms to show consistency. I also find posts in every aspect of life. I believe there is content everywhere, you just have to open your mind and eyes to focus on it and make it a part of your business.
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
Social media and referrals. Traveling has been a great source as well. People see me traveling all the time via pictures I post on social media and my phone immediately starts ringing.
