We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Brittanie Baker, 2 Chicks & a sign a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Brittanie, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear about one of the craziest things you’ve experienced in your journey so far.
Well, Where do I start? I’ve actually had a few crazy moments. The first one was on my first deal I forgot to get the keys from the lockbox and the other agent picked up the lock box. The next week the clients called for keys. I had to figure out how to locate them, lol. I have never done that again. I always get the keys from the lock box right after signing at Title. The second crazy moment would have been when my repeat customers asked me to meet them at a rural home that was for sale. You should have had the cameras rolling on that day. We were driving and we went across a creek where the water came up to the door handles. We get out of that mess and all of a sudden Cows were everywhere! We were surrounded by them and had to wait for them to cross before we could continue down the road. Once the cows were gone we had to drive thru another creek which made us want to turn back but you know, anything for clients…. We had to wait awhile for our clients as they were lost. Once the clients arrived and were done walking the property we went to leave and found that we were stuck in the mud. We had to shovel mud from around the tires in our realtor attire. Then we asked the neighbors to help but they didn’t speak English so it was hard to communicate. They ended up getting in the car and trying to get it unstuck but that didn’t help. Then the clients came to the rescue with their big truck! Thank goodness for clients! The third crazy memory was when we met an electrician at the property. We were walking around the property and he was showing us issues with the wires and all of a sudden we had a tiny little fire. No big deal, we keep it going and end up standing in the family room talking. From no where we all hear these 3 shots like from a gun. I take off running out the door, see you later alligator and the electrician pulls out his gun. My mother who is my partner was all calm about the situation and walked over to the freezer to pull the ice out that had actually made the noise. Once I made it back in to make sure my mother was okay I told her “Pay back is a Witch….You once left me with a snake and now I left you with a gunman. ”

Id love to tell you how I met my business partner! It was 36 years ago in Phoenix Arizona in a Hospital bed! I was her first born weighing in at 9lbs 8oz looking pretty cheeky! When I was 13 years old I was helping her in the Mortgage business with flyers and postcards. I ended up going into property management then got my real estate license. I was doing good but needed a team mate. Because I was always discussing things with her it made since to ask her if she would come onto my team. AND thats how I went from Brittanie Baker to 2CHICKS&ASIGN!
We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
We keep in touch with clients by using the number one CRM! We ask for their names, numbers, emails and addresses. It doesn’t matter if you are a new clients, old clients or current clients. They are all set up on a workflow. This allows us not to miss any step! Everyone receives something from us at least 36 times a year! And we do a give away almost every month. If the clients are connected to me on Facebook then they have a chance to win something! Last month we gave away $100.00 worth of lottery tickets, the month before that I think it was a Hair Bundle. The CRM allows us to make the process streamline. We can communicate via email, phone or text. Our Customer Service is excellent! I feel like we communicate more then most people do. You can tell with our reviews how good our customer service is.
