We recently connected with Marie-Anne Bisson and have shared our conversation below.
Marie-Anne, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. One deeply underappreciated facet of entrepreneurship is the kind of crazy stuff we have to deal with as business owners. Sometimes it’s crazy positive sometimes it’s crazy negative, but crazy experiences unite entrepreneurs regardless of industry. Can you share a crazy story with our readers?
After having experienced several paranormal events and seen unidentified objects in the sky, nothing shocked me until a client came to my office, hoping to uncover more details about their experiences when they witnessed UFOs. Once I regressed them back to their childhood, just prior to an event that they previously described to me, a plethora of information surfaced. As I used forensic style questioning, my client spoke with the soft voice of a child and described moving balls of light and finding themselves on a surgical table, surrounded by beings that were about three or four feet tall. I had to maintain my composure when the client told me that the beings, or the Watchers, were outside observing us, wondering what information I would be able to help the client remember and, what I would remember about my own experiences. The client said that I kept getting quick flashbacks and these beings were trying to stop them, but it wasn’t working. The most startling part was that during the last couple of weeks prior to this appointment, I had visions of experiences with multi-dimensional beings which I wrote about in my journal. The client had no prior knowledge of that. I came to realize that during this session and others that followed, we were being watched. This experience opened up the doorway of my own journey and I couldn’t wait to explore the possibility of having had my own experiences.
Marie-Anne, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
When I had the opportunity to take early retirement to have more time to share with my children, I embraced the moment, sold my home and moved outside of the city. I was recently divorced and I made several major life changes all at once. Once I settled into a smaller space, nestled on a couple of acres full of mature trees, I was able to, for the first time in my life, take the time to think about what was important to me and my future with my family. When I wasn’t busy driving my kids back and forth to school or to their friends, I immersed myself in courses in spirituality, crystals, mediumship, Reiki, Remote Viewing, and became a certified hypnotherapist, specializing in regressions. These topics always interested me because I grew up in a haunted house and my family was always open to discussing all sorts of unusual conversations such as spirits, UFOs and more.
I was comfortable knowing I had psychic abilities and I wanted to help others become comfortable with their abilities or experiences because several of the people I spoke to didn’t have the support of friends and family. For example, I met a doctor in one of my mediumship courses who didn’t want to be identified because they knew they would be ridiculed by their peers in the medical field.
In 2014, a small house nestled amongst maple and oak trees became available to use as my office space. It was the perfect peaceful location to feel grounded, to support personal healing and inner work. I named my business The Doorway, which for me represented an opening to spiritual awareness and healing. My services work in harmony with a client’s personal medical professionals. At the Doorway, clients can choose from Spiritual Health Coaching, Reiki, Angel card readings and hypnotherapy, for regressions or other specific concerns they want to address. Each session is unique to the needs of each individual client. To be of service to others, I also volunteer my services as a psychic investigative profiler for the Find Me Organization, which helps to find missing and murdered persons. I also offer support for Experiencers, a term once known as abductees and have been vetted by MUFON to assist Experiencers if required. All of my services are confidential, and available in person or online or via Zoom, offered in French and English.
In 2020, I released my autobiography, In Tune with Life, Love and the Divine Matrix, which offers several techniques for the readers to learn how to help themselves. I share my journey, difficulties in abusive relationships, addictions, including several paranormal experiences and photos. My desire is that readers can find similar if not identical stories that will resonate with them and show them how they can surpass adversities they go through. A new book is also in the works and will hopefully be published this year. This new manifestation will include several transcriptions of the most fascinating regressions and Reiki I’ve done for clients that I can’t wait to share with you.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
In 2020, my business was not spared from the impact of Covid 19 and the lockdowns. Before restrictions eased and eventually lifted, I was able to shift all of my services from in person appointments to online or distant services. This was especially important for clients who were overwhelmed and stressed during this period. I continued to do online card readings as I had always done but now offered distant Reiki sessions, a skill we learn in our training. Reiki is quantum energy to which we are all interconnected and distance has no impact on it. Technology and Zoom opened new opportunities to reach clients beyond my previous local clients. I found ways to prepare clients for unexpected distractions during the sessions, to achieve the best possible outcome. I’m always gobsmacked from the information that surfaces during regressions. My ability to reframe how I offered my services and supported my clients, old and new, carried me through this challenging period. It also brought on personal and professional growth and development.
In 2020, I was a co-author in the book, The Girl Behind the Fence: Fear, by Mozelle Martin. The most rewarding project a few months later in 2020, was writing and publishing my autobiography, In Tune With Life, Love and the Divine Matrix.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
While attending a Meetup meeting in 2017 for Experiencers (once referred to as abductees), the organizer asked if anyone in the group would be interested in doing an interview with a local French newspaper who would be willing to do the interview in English. After considering it, I recognized the opportunity to share my knowledge on experiencers, UFOs and the services I offer. It could also expand my social presence. This newspaper, La Liberté, had both printed and online reporting and was only a few blocks from where I grew up. I accepted and after the interview, the reporter asked me if I would be willing to hypnotize one of their staff members in French, and have the session videotaped. I must have looked like a deer caught in the headlights because I panicked and froze. Despite French being my maternal language, I rarely used it and had never done a regression in French. Hesitantly, I accepted. The past life regression was scheduled in a few weeks and I needed to translate my scripts from English into French. On the day of the appointment, both reporters arrived to my office with a camera in hand. Although the entire regression was recorded, only a small segment of the session was posted online. It was truly an exciting experience for the staff and for me. Once the article and video were published, locals started contacting me to do hypnosis in French. I needed to step out of my comfort zone because this was an opportunity to expand my services and to do some personal growth as well.
During the Covid lockdowns, and a few years after my interview with La Liberté, I received several requests from French clients from Quebec, Canada and as far as Belgium, France and Switzerland, who had seen my French interviews and wanted to book sessions.
My advice to those just starting to build their social media presence is to seize the opportunities when they present themselves, even it it means stepping outside of your comfort zone. Seek out resources to showcase your business, your services and you. Don’t forget to leave your business cards on the local bulletin boards. When you enjoy the work you do, speaking about it comes naturally, it flows out of you and people can feel that genuine excitement as you share your story.
