We were lucky to catch up with Lubeants Joseph recently and have shared our conversation below.
Lubeants, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. One of the most important things small businesses can do, in our view, is to serve underserved communities that are ignored by giant corporations who often are just creating mass-market, one-size-fits-all solutions. Talk to us about how you serve an underserved community.
Kingz Creations is a Marketing & Multimedia Production Company based around Film & Photography. We are focused on providing Full Business Services to Small Business Owners & Professional Creators throughout the United States and World Wide.
What we found is that a lot of Entrepreneurs are intimidated by the prices of the services that are needed to bring success to their business. So what we decided to do is to serve our community.
We specifically target people who aspire to build a brand but don’t know how or believe that it’s just “too expensive”. Although we list our prices on our website, which honestly are extremely generous, we make it clear that we welcome people with all types of budgets, even if you don’t know what the word “budget’ means in the business world. We found that the new Entrepreneur has not heard it enough in conversation.
Ask our current partners and clients they will tell you that money is not an issue, we work with you no matter how much you are starting with, For every problem, there is a solution and my motto is “Make It Happen”.
Come to me with $1 and I’ll show you how to use that budget to your advantage.
We believe that every brand has a story, we encourage everyone to document their journey, tell your customer, clients, partners, audience, and patrons (whichever term you choose to use for the people that support you) about who you are as a person so they who they are choosing when they are working with your company.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Lubeants Joseph, commonly known as “EL” but most call me “Kingz”. There is another name that friends and family call me, I won’t say it so don’t ask *laugh out loud*.
What I will say is that depending on how you address me, I can tell when we met and how comfortable you are with me. So the different nicknames that I’ve been given throughout the years directly relate to relationships.
And if you know me you know my business model is based deeply on relationships, which is the best currency.
I am the temporary owner of Kingz Creations, I say temporary because this business is being built for my son Isaiah Nehemiah Joseph, Young Simba best known as Papo Da Boss. He is my superior.
All jokes aside, yes on paper I own Kingz Creations LLC, but in reality, I am building a legacy, my child or children, biological or adopted (I plan to adopt in the future), will choose if they would like to inherit the company both through words and actions. I have one requirement, I will build the foundation but Isaiah, Papo if you are reading this I need you to push the philanthropic aspect. Kingz Creations will be the pillar that inspires the world. We Aspire.
The reason why Kingz Creations exist is that I’ve always been the helping hand in any space you can think of.
At a young age, around the beginning years of middle school, I decided that I would help everyone that I can.
I’ve lived that life ever since, Although I may not have known the name of the brand back then, I have always lived the essence of the brand and what Kingz Creations stand for. We are ultimately the support that everyone wants,
I say “wants” because I do not believe in the word “need”. It’s such a strong and misused word.
How did the name “Kingz Creations” come to be?
Well if you ask my closest elder brother he would say it came from him *laugh out loud* and I’ll let him have that on any day. But just for you, I’ll tell you a little bit about it.
So what a lot of people may not know is that I am a writer, I’ve been doing poetry since middle school, and I’ve also written rap lyrics but I retired my pen before I became a ghostwriter in the industry so all ghostwriters can take a breath knowing that I decided not to be their competitor *laugh out loud*.
Seriously though. I’ve always written poetry and my writing has always been to empower and celebrate women, specifically women who aspire to be their best, I honor them by calling them Queen. So the poems were called Letters, which later became Kingz Letters after High School. A lot of Letters (Poems) were lost because I kept them in a composition notebook, young people don’t know about that *laugh out loud*. There were very few people back then who knew about that talent, Chris known as Capman, Pedro Known as Dro, then some of “Da Boiz”.
I threw away most of my composition notebooks when I finished them because I always thought I could write something better. The ones that I did not throw away I lost, most Letters (Poems) had names like “The Book of Destruction”, “The Book of ReConstruction” etc. Before I lost them I converted some of the poems to Facebook when the platform was first introduced many years ago, for those who didn’t know back then Facebook had somewhat of a blog feature not the timeline you see now it was a seperate section.
That was the birth of Kingz Letters, I dropped the “s” and picked up the “z” There’s a secret to that too, so maybe I’ll tell it in another interview. Can’t just give it all away. But if you think about it you’ll uncover deeper meanings to the name. So a side story that coincides with this story is that I went into the workforce knowing that my ultimate goal was to build my own business. I knew the Corporate America I was going into did not resonate with my soul. it was too transactional and sales were forced.
A lot of companies do not care about their consumers and care less about their employees.
So since before starting my first job, I knew I would not work for companies on their terms for long.
I went in to soak up all the knowledge and gain experience, So my personal requirement was to advance to a different department or be promoted every 6 months to 1 year. If that did not happen I would switch companies because I did not want to be stagnant. That is why Kingz Creations offer a variety of services, some are listed others are not, those are partnership privileges. I digress so after some years, I formed a company called “EL Special Services” which were concierge services and transportation/delivery services. This company came about because my son was living with me for some time and working for someone else was too limiting, I created a business that allowed me the freedom to work on my own time. I mostly worked with single mothers who needed someone trustworthy to take their children to/from school, but I also worked with New companies and Entrepreneurs.
When my son was going back to school, I also went back to work. However, working for companies was limiting and took too much time away from my son, he ended up living with his mom who moved away to another state. The most heartbreaking story is that distance that was put between me and my son. That’s a story I don’t know if I will ever tell, being away from my son hurt us a lot. Being able to see him became more challenging and working for a company other than my own caused even more conflict, so I started to build my business again, this time the services changed, and I was doing more Film, Photography, Websites, and Transportation Occasionally.
“El Special Services” did not ring the bell so one day I decided it would be “Kingz Creations” which was birthed from “Kingz Letters”. The significance is rooted in these words and their meaning  There’s “EL”, “Kingz”, and “Creations”. I will reveal it later on in life.
My Motto is “Make It Happen”, the company was born out of a dream to be able to spend all the time that I want and that my son would want together. Thus the motto, “Do you create Dreams or Nightmares”. Back then I was living a nightmare.
In 2019, my mother, Anna Julie Joseph, passed away from cancer. It happened so fast, she was healthy my whole life, but she became ill and I rarely had time to go see her until it was too late. I spent the most time with her in her final stages. My Mother is my best friend. The day she passed I found out from a family member that I was also her best friend.
We celebrated her birthday, and shortly after everyone left, My Angel decided to ascend back into heaven.
Around that time, I decided never to clock in for a company ever again. I went into full business mode, time is still a challenge however, I now have the freedom to stop anything I am doing to take care of my personal life with the security that I can go back to my own company and continue working where I left off. I became a full-time Entrepreneur in 2020.

Can you talk to us about how your funded your business?
An interesting conversation to have is business funding. I think most Entrepreneurs/Business Owners would say their business is like their “baby”, but what I see all the time is that people are starving their “babies”!! They are depending on government assistance, banks, etc. I took a different approach. I started as a transitioning entrepreneur, meaning I started using money from the jobs I was working to buy my equipment and started to fund my business out of my own pocket. I did not look for funding first, I was feeding my “baby” until my “baby” was able to crawl, and then walk, once my business started moving on its own I made a bold move that I do not recommend to just anyone, please don’t try this at home *laugh out loud* I decided to quit my job and take all of my money and invest it into my business, yes folks I went into a deficit by choice, which most Business Owners are afraid of but it is inevitable. I just chose to believe in myself and my dreams. I have no plan B, I will not abort my baby. I knew that I would not look back, I was alright with living below my means as long as my “baby” ate and my actual baby (my son) ate. The first few years of business are supposed to be difficult but thankfully in the first year of my business I started seeing a profit, and my business started sustaining itself. That does not mean there are no tough days, but it means that I knew everything would be alright. I didn’t wait for handouts, I simply started working. I started learning.
As stated I do not recommend anyone to leap as I did, however, there is a point in time when you will have to jump off the ledge. So until then, I recommend you feed your “baby”, and build your business so it can be strong and dependable. Don’t be hesitant with putting your own money into your business because no one is going to save you.
Before a lender gives you any funding they have to see that you are managing the business with your own money.
So use your employment to invest in your business, until the company can pay its own expenses, then it will also pay you. Once you can pay yourself the minimum salary, you will be ready for funding and experience true growth.
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
Remember when I said relationships are the best currency… Well I really mean it, I’ve gotten the most deals closed through relationships my clients become my partners. Just working with someone or working at an event, brings attention to the Kingz Creations brand. I have partners who are introducing me to their clients or their partners and instantly we form a relationship. I do not do sales, I have conversations. I won’t offer you a service until you are practically asking for it. The goal for Kingz Creations is to identify a problem and offer a solution, our service is just that, we are providing support and serving our clients based on their needs.
I have conversations with everyone that I can, we even use social media as a means to simply communicate, it is through the genuine connection with our followers & following that we can generate leads, that become relationships, then the relationship turns into a client and the client almost all the time becomes a partner. Not many think like this, I knew I was on the right track and that someone understood me when I discovered Gary Vaynerchuk. I am not the type of person that needs validation but when I started watching the videos about being genuine that Gary Vee has been creating, I was like, “That!! now that right there is why I know I’m right about the way I do business”. Then I discovered Myron Golden, who fortified the deep faith I have in my belief that I am beyond and unlimited blessed. Ever since a young age everything I needed was provided in the time of need not when I wanted it. There’s a divine principle behind my business as you can see in the name of the company. I do not care to set goals around meeting people, however, Gary Vee & Myron Golden are of the very few people that I care to sit down and have a conversation with. I’d like to say thank you for simply being you. It was an amazing surprise to see examples of my principle in the spaces I aspire to be in.
Being genuine and just having relationships with the right people have brought the company the most business. Then of course the quality of the work speaks for itself. The branding is important, making sure all my platforms are updated, and my website is easily accessible so that you can reach me and my company. Simply googling “Kingz Creations” opens the door to great relationships, I have many conversations that started because my client/partner saw me on Google or saw me at an event. It is important to create a bridge so everyone can connect.
