We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Leo Dunn & Matt Danitz. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Leo Dunn & below.
Alright, Leo Dunn & Matt Danitz thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s start with a story that highlights an important way in which your brand diverges from the industry standard.
The driving factor in starting our own exteriors company was the poor industry standard in customer service. Having worked in the industry for over 20 years, we saw that the majority of companies do not prioritize the customer experience. We pride ourselves on communication and establishing trust between us and the customer. Our company motto is “Do What Is Expected, Then Do More”. A little effort goes a long way when working on someone’s home. We know it’s not always a fun experience, but we make every effort to relieve any anxiety or concerns as we provide a quality product.
Leo Dunn &, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Road Home Exteriors started in the summer of 2020. Matt & Leo had long been in the industry and had always wanted to start something of their own. The uncertainty of the pandemic was the catalyst for them to finally take the leap and Road Home Exteriors was born. The focus of the company is residential exteriors. Those services include: roofing, siding, windows, paint, gutters, and repairs.
The construction industry doesn’t have the best reputation for communication, cleanliness, or an overall good customer service experience. Matt & Leo made a point to make the customer experience the cornerstone to the business. Along with a high quality product and crews, Road Home Exteriors was built to succeed.
Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?
Matt & Leo met their freshman year of college at the University of Northern Colorado. Through mutual friends, they started hanging out in a large group together. It wasn’t until one night when Matt stepped in to help Leo out of a jam that they became close friends. From there, they worked on a paint crew together in college and their journey into the construction industry began.
Throughout the years they’d always known they wanted to start their own business – they just weren’t sure what. Ideas came and went, but it wasn’t until the idea for Road Home Exteriors came up that they knew it was the winner. It was a summer day over lunch where they hopped online and registered Road Home LLC and the dream had become a reality.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
For Road Home Exteriors the strategy to grow clientele is simple: Do What Is Expected, Then Do More. When you provide a quality product with honest service, people will come. Matt & Leo have found that when they build relationships with their customers that their customers will be more included to recommend their service to other people. It’s such a domino effect that will ensure success in the industry and as a business for years to come.
