Hi April, thanks for joining us today. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
Success itself is measured differently by different people. To me it’s a combination of hard work, a strong team, understanding strengths and acknowledging weaknesses. It’s also important to put in the work you expect of your team!
April, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I founded Creative Style Furniture many years ago and through hard work, it is has grown into the largest women-owned custom furniture and upholstery company in Houston (being local to the area, this has truly meant the world to me). I’m honored to lead a team of highly skilled craftsmen, artisans, and designers who have a combined 150 years of experience in this industry. Not only do we get to create custom pieces for client homes, but we are fortunate enough to manufacture large scale items for both hospitality & commercial spaces (statewide and across the nation). From booths, sofas, & beds, to detailed case goods & raw frames, we do it all, and we do it well. What sets CSF apart from others is our constant communication through every step of the manufacturing process. By prioritizing our client’s needs and valuing their input, we get satisfaction guaranteed. It’s because of our commitment to the craft that our customers keep coming back (and referring us to others along the way). I’m proud of what CSF has become and what’s waiting for us in the future, but I couldn’t have done it without such an amazing team to make it happen.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Our reputation has evolved into what it is now because we consistently put out good work, listen to our clients, and communicate every step of the way. We are a team of craftsmen who care.
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
Referrals! Most of our clientele come to us via recommendation from previous customers & designers. It’s those positive interactions that stay with us and attract new business.
