We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Armani Ncole a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Armani, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s jump to the end – what do you want to be remembered for?
I would like to be remembered as someone who helped young adults find who they truly are. I want to help each person I work with find their true potential and meaning in this world.
Armani, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I started doing photography in 2020, I started because my aunt and uncle asked me to take photos at their wedding which was a surprise to me because I hadn’t picked up a camera in so long. The photos turned out great so at that point I just saved a few college refund checks and bought me a new camera, I still didn’t feel like it was enough though I wanted to more in the creative industry so I decided to started a model development group that teaches young men and women how to model, be creative and unlock their true potential. I believe what separates me apart from other individuals is the way that I think, I tend to dive deeper into things I like to tell stories with my photos I never want to just do a simple thing I want to expand simple into greatness and that’s probably why I have the clientele that I have. I am most proud of my consistency I have been very consistent with my creative company it’s been 3 years now and the person I was 3 years ago would have been changed her career path but the fact that I haven’t shows me how important this is to me. I truly believe I can be one of the best creators this world has seen I just need to walk through the door.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
When I first started photography I was still a freshman in college I hated school because it was online so when I started my modeling group in January I decided to stop going to school to pursue my career luckily it worked out because I was very confused and I had absolutely no idea what I was gonna do for so long.
How did you build your audience on social media?
The way that I built my audience was engagement, with the group that I started I did monthly challenges where my models are challenged to a creative photoshoot idea and they are judged by our instagram followers it’s really fun, not just for me but for my social media as well they’re not just looking at photos they make decisions. I would suggest anyone who is trying to build their presence to work hard stay consistent and engage with your audience. Ask questions, Answer questions and more.
