Grace, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?

My mission is just to create, simply! I started writing because I felt like I was good at it, but I kept writing because I knew I could be even better. Learning and growing through the process has been a gift in and of itself. The Lord has blessed me so abundantly, and it’s an honor to give his words breath.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

I am a 19 year old Pre-Vet student at Tarleton State University! I am originally from Burleson, TX, and I released my first book, “The Words He Used”, in February of 2022, and in January of this year, I published my second book, “Lattes at Midnight”. Currently, I am on a short hiatus from my podcast “The Words He Used Podcast”, but I plan to record more in the future! I feel so honored to have had the opportunity to work with so many amazing people and projects.

I have learned a lot in the last year about how important it is to be able to change your mind, admit you’re wrong, and make changes to your behavior accordingly. Being a published writer so young is a blessing because I can only get better, and more knowledgeable as the years go on, so I am simply overjoyed to be able to grow in these ways!

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

It’s rewarding to be able to fluctuate and make changes to my work, in whatever medium I choose. I am allowed to grow and change as my art does, but I can also honor who I was when I created certain things that maybe I don’t identify with anymore.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?

I simply wan to make the world a better place and make heaven a little more crowded. Plain and simple, my mission is people and who they are at their rawest forms. If I can inspire anyone to be better than they were, or to create, or to seek deeper meaning in their lives, then I’ve won.
