Lorraine, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Do you think your parents have had a meaningful impact on you and your journey?
My parents always encouraged me to appreciate nature, and to be mindful of my natural environment. Although my parents divorced when I was 2 years old, they both had a great respect of plants. Actually my mother has a “green body” not a green thumb, she can grow anything and even surprised us by growing a tamarind tree from a seed she got in a tamarind sweetie ball. My father would take us on walks in nature, to rivers and beaches. I grew up in Trinidad and Tobago, two islands at the end of the Caribbean chain, close to Venezuela. It is a land lush and green, with beautiful beaches and coral reefs. I grew up with full respect and appreciation for nature, for growing plants, and for natural healing. This led me on my path to naturopathy and then to become a certified aromatherapist.
Lorraine, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Infuse Pure Therapy is a wellness and lifestyle brand based on the practice of Aromatherapy and Natural Healing. The brand wants to be exclusive, intimate and personalized, connecting with the client and working with them on a holistic level
Infuse Pure Therapy was born out of LoriO’s passion for nature, plants and natural healing.
Growing up in the Caribbean and moving to France at the age of eleven, LoriO was guided by grandmothers who taught her the wonders of the earth, the sky, the mountains, rivers and seas. Grandmothers who believed in natural supplements, good food and healthy life styles.
In her teens, she discovered the scents of lavender and rosemary in the South of France and her university studies took her on a journey to China, Taiwan and India. Scents seemed always to play a major role in her life and she really feels most in her element when mixing scents and sharing them with her friends and clients.
LoriO’s husband and partner for over 25 years, Selwyn Henry, shares the same passion for nature and plants, having grown up in rural Trinidad and been coached by his mother and aunts in the healing properties of herbs and plants.
Together they founded Infuse Pure Therapy in 2016, in Trinidad, to share their passion and knowledge. They started distilling local herbs and aromatics and launched the Sans Souci hydrosol line. They have been servicing the Trinidad and Tobago wellness market for the past five years. In 2020 the brand took a leap forward being introduced into the Massy Stores, through Nudge and the collaborations with Immortelle Beauty and The Hideout Clothing.
Infuse Pure Therapy is now expanding its reach and resources by setting up a branch of the company in Stuart, Florida, USA.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
the most rewarding aspect is bringing support and wellness to people. When I get a message or feedback telling me how the oils have helped them overcome a situation be it mental, emotional or physical, it really makes my heart sing and makes me understand my purpose. My purpose is to serve and help people feel better.

NFT’s are definitely interesting and a new dimension in the creative space, it allows creators who had no way of exhibiting or getting their work in front of eyes, a whole new world to market their work.
