Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Sarah Alagha. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Sarah thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What do you think it takes to be successful?
Success is subjective but it can be achieved through a combination of several factors, including hard work, resilience, a positive attitude, adaptability, focus, and discipline. Based on my experience, I have found that setting clear and achievable goals, learning from failures and setbacks, prioritizing long-term gains over short-term wins, and being able to adapt and pivot when necessary are some of the key traits that have contributed to my success in business.
To be successful in the home fragrance industry, you have to keep up with industry trends and regulations, produce high-quality products, execute effective marketing strategies, foster positive relationships with clients and suppliers, manage costs and pricing, and be proactive when it is time to pivot in your business and adjust accordingly. Another big factor is developing a strong brand identity, and having both an online and offline presence is very important in business.
Personally, I have adopted a holistic approach where I find balance and feel fulfilled in all aspects of my life. Our business model is also set up where we share our success by giving back to help others in our community. Our clients contribute to this every time they make a purchase with us and we are proud to have this impact together.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Wild Aspen was born out of my love for science, art, nature and my favorite travel moments. With a background in biochemistry, I have always been fascinated by the power of scents and how they can influence our mood, emotions and overall well-being. After experimenting close to one year in a lab, I realized I could blend my passions and research innovative ways to create more natural products and a business that gives back to the community.
The brand is heavily influenced by Scandinavian roots characterized by simplicity & minimalism. You’ll discover that our dreamy scents are simply made with the best ingredients that turn into captivating scents. Our collection has always been influenced by nature and bringing balance to every space. At Wild Aspen, we believe that your home should be a sanctuary, a place where you can relax, unwind, and recharge. That’s why we create high-quality, handcrafted candles and home fragrances that not only smell amazing but also enhance your mood and create a warm and inviting ambiance.
Our products are made with natural and sustainable ingredients, carefully selected for their purity, potency, and sensory experience. From fresh and floral scents to warm and cozy aromas, we offer a wide range of fragrances to suit all types of fragrance profiles and occasions.
At Wild Aspen, we are not just a business, but a community of like-minded people who share similar values. We are committed to creating products that not only make you feel good but also do good, by supporting local artisans, using eco-friendly packaging, and donating a portion of our profits to charitable causes. We dedicate a percentage of our sales to support female entrepreneurs, victims of war, mental-health and other local charitable causes. As we continue to scale and enter another year in business, we are excited to partner with an environmental organization that will plant trees with every purchase made through us. These projects aim to promote biodiversity through the planting of native and diverse trees. Additionally, reforest projects will support communities and reduce poverty by employing locals. Nothing is more rewarding than to share this positive impact with our customers who embody our values and have been instrumental in supporting Wild Aspen’s mission.
Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
As an e-commerce business, we understand the importance of delivering a positive experience for our customers, especially since we don’t have the opportunity to engage with them in a traditional face-to-face setting. That’s why we go above and beyond to ensure our clients have a great experience from the moment they visit our website to after-sale support.
Social media has been a great free marketing tool, but our most powerful tool to keep in touch with our clients is through our email newsletter. By building our email list, we can personalize our content with individual customer data, offer exclusive content and promotions, share success stories, and encourage feedback and engagement. We have also partnered with select distributors to carry our products in their physical stores, guaranteeing a positive experience for our customers no matter how they find us. By selecting our partnerships, we ensure that you will get the same experience and customer care through our amazing business partners.
We believe that brand loyalty comes from building an emotional connection with our clients by sharing our values, transparency in our business practices, product quality, and our brand mission. Our team is passionate about helping our clients discover their fragrance profiles and finding their signature home scents. At Wild Aspen, our mission is to fill homes with sustainable, high-quality products that enhance aromatic experiences. At our candle studio, we take great pride in our commitment to clean and sustainable practices. We are dedicated to preserving our planet’s natural resources and work closely with local USA-based suppliers, and talented artists to bring our products to life.
In a world of convenience and endless options, we truly appreciate the conscious choice our customers make to purchase with us. We are grateful for our clients who share similar values and advocate for our brand, and we’re always motivated to hear their feedback and experiences.
