Quentin, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
FFL Athletics is a sustainable athleisure company catering to men, women, and children that are committed to living a fit life. The brand caters to individuals that are wanting to get in shape as well as fitness enthusiasts who live and breathe a healthy lifestyle. Fitness apparel is not only comfortable, functional, and stylish but sustainable and environmentally friendly. The materials in the FFL Athletics clothing brand are made from recycled polyester, organic cotton, and viscose bamboo. These materials have a much smaller environmental footprint than traditional synthetic materials. My goal was to create a brand that is comfortable, stylish and good for the environment. In my view, sustainability is not just a passing trend, but a movement that is gaining momentum. Sustainable fitness apparel is not only better for the environment but also for individual’s health and fitness goals. By choosing sustainable fitness gear, consumers can reduce their environmental impact, promote health, boost performance and support local communities. 1) How did you get into the industry?
I grew up in San Diego, CA playing basketball and was always passionate about fitness and staying in shape. I have been a fitness enthusiast from the time I entered high school and in my adult life. My uncle was an avid weight lifter and that inspired me to start weightlifting and it resulted in improved self-confidence and discipline in my personal life. Fitness is the gift that keeps on giving or a real-life fountain of youth. I am middle aged but the fitness lifestyle makes me feel like I am in my early twenties. I graduated from Whittier College in Los Angeles with a B.A. in business and went on to earn my master’s degree in healthcare from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
2) What types of products services and creative works do you provide?
FFL Athletics provides sustainable and stylish athleisure clothing for men, women, and children who are committed to living an active lifestyle. Our products are made from organic bamboo, Viscose bamboo, and organic cotton, all of which are biodegradable and made in the USA. Our clothing is breathable, cool, and perfect for any workout or casual wear
3) What problems do you solve for clients?
FFL Athletics solves the problem of unsustainable and unethical activewear production. We provide a sustainable and eco-friendly alternative to fast fashion activewear, which is harmful to the environment and the people involved in its production. Our clients can feel good about their purchases knowing that they are making a positive impact on the planet while still looking and feeling their best.

How did you build your audience on social media?
1) Develop a Consistent Brand Voice: It’s important to establish a clear and consistent brand voice across all social media platforms. This voice should reflect your brand’s values, mission, and personality. By creating a consistent tone, your audience will recognize and connect with your brand more easily.
2)Post Regularly: Consistency is key when it comes to building a social media presence. Posting regularly will keep your audience engaged and aware of your brand. Try to post at least once a day, or several times a week, and ensure that the content you share is high-quality and relevant to your audience.
3)Use Eye-Catching Visuals: Visuals are important for catching people’s attention and standing out on social media. Use high-quality photos, videos, and graphics that showcase your products, services, and brand personality.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
The best source of clients has been word of mouth and speaking engagements. I would suggest new business organizations join Meetup groups relevant to the product and services they offer as well as professional networking organizations such as the Chamber of Commerce. I would be selfless by offering to do something for another business owner and do not expect anything in return. I currently reside in Scottsdale, Arizona and have joined the Phoenix Fashion Week Meetup Group. Phoenix Fashion week is a leading fashion industry event in the Southwest. The organization’s mission is to bridge the gap between national and international designers and premier retailers and top fashion media. Phoenix Fashion Week’s ultimate goal is to garner global exposure for Arizona’s fashion industry.
