We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Carson Eilers. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Carson below.
Hi Carson, thanks for joining us today. Let’s start with a story that highlights an important way in which your brand diverges from the industry standard.
In real estate, 82% of new agents don’t stick with it past the first year. The industry is designed for failure, and I”m looking to completely change that. Our brokerage is specifically designed to identify leads, and help train agents to pursue them with a high success rate.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I started in real estate in 2008 at the bottom of recession. It wasn’t a great time to launch a new career, but I was determined. I ended up getting into fixing and flipping houses, and completed over 400 of those over the years. Over time, I saw a need for a quality brokerage focused on training to help with agent retention. I am extremely proud of the company I’ve built and the people who are a part of it. I get so excited every time one of my agents goes under contract for the very first time, and then starts closing multiple deals each month.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
When I started in Real Estate, they train you in 30-40 different things and you never become an expert in any of them. Over the years, learned I need to specialize in one or two things and excel in them. That’s what I’m doing now, and it has been the biggest positive change of my career.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I value being honest and doing things the right way. I think people see that and respect that. I try to never be too prideful to apologize and own up to mistakes, and make things right when it’s needed. It’s a core value that I work hard to instill in those around me too.
