Juliann, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to go back in time and hear the story of how you came up with the name of your brand?

I’m always happy to talk about our company name. “Unreal Designs” is of course a play on words. We have the pleasure of working with artificial (not real) greenery and hope to invoke the wow factor in our work, making clients say, “That’s unreal! It looks so real!”

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

With nearly six years experience in the artificial greenery industry, I am excited to bring our client’s creative visions to life. Whether it be Custom Artificial Boxwood Hedges, Custom Artificial Living Walls, Event Rental needs, or so much more, you’ve come to the right place, and the right person. I truly love working with clients to help them realize how artificial greenery can transform their space.

At Unreal Designs, we offer a variety of services and options and love to be able to produce all products in house. From Custom Fabrication to Green Wall Paneling to Event Rentals, we handle it all. If you have an idea, we have the follow through. We work throughout the Southern California area and the entire US.

Okay – so how did you figure out the manufacturing part? Did you have prior experience?

We do manufacture in house. We have a talented group of individuals working together with a variety of skill sets. While many of us did posses previous knowledge and experience, our skill sets grow with each new project. We are always learning and growing to be able to offer more for our clients. We see each order as an opportunity, constantly thinking about improving both our knowledge base and our product offerings. We can also fabricate custom products such as a swing or see saw we recently did for a corporate event.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?

It’s hard to beat online marketing when it comes to growing your clientele. However, my most treasured way of growing our business is still the grassroots operation of word of mouth. Customer service is very important to me and my business. I do my best to ensure every client, or potential client, is treated with the upmost respect and kindness. At the end of a project when our clients are happy, I’m happy. Those clients keep us in mind, remember us when their friends and neighbors need similar work, when their kids get married, when they have a new project in mind, etc. The relationship we build is irreplaceable.
