Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Genina Johnson. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Genina , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you walk us through some of the key steps that allowed you move beyond an idea and actually launch?
I have always been passionate about helping people. In my job, in my writing, or when I pray for people. It was clear to me that there was more I wanted to accomplish. As a result, I decided to launch my own podcast, She Heal. As podcasting now dominates the market, I knew it wouldn’t be difficult to build it out. The first thing I did was research how to start a podcast. To create my logo, I contacted my graphic designer. I had a podcast cover designed. I found a hosting site for my podcast. After researching reliable microphones, the rest is pretty much history.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am a mother of 3, an author, a writer, and a respiratory therapist. I have always been passionate about helping others, as I stated earlier. It is one of my favorite things to do, but I knew there was more to it than I could do. Listening to other podcasts inspired me to start She Heal.
We will discuss topics related to women’s mental and emotional health on our podcast platform. A few examples include insecurities, depression, identity issues, and sharing testimonial stories to inspire women.
As a ministry of She Heal, we believe that every woman deserves the tools she needs to move toward her God-ordained purpose while freeing herself from the pain of her past.
It is our mission at the she heal podcast to inspire women to be whole. We are women who are ready to conquer the world knowing who we are and achieving everything God has set out for us.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Having struggled with low self-esteem and looking for worth in men, I understand what it feels like to be broken. In spite of this, God has made me free from the pain of my past and redeemed me. I now have the responsibility of helping my next sister to be free and healed from her past. It is through my testimony that another woman can find her breakthrough.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
Regardless of what I do, it is my goal and my mission to always please God. Secondly, it is to serve and help His people. Our purpose here on earth is to fulfill God’s will. While we have different callings, we all have one agenda: to ensure God’s will is accomplished through whatever He has called us to do. It is my calling to assist God’s daughter in becoming free, healed, delivered, and restored.
