Hi Dannita, thanks for joining us today. Almost all entrepreneurs have had to decide whether to start now or later? There are always pros and cons for waiting and so we’d love to hear what you think about your decision in retrospect. If you could go back in time, would you have started your business sooner, later or at the exact time you started?
I hate to have regrets but I wish I would have taken my art as a business serious, sooner than I did. I have always created in some fashion. I always did it for pleasure, favors, gifting, just not as a business. Once I made a couple of sales, I felt that had missed out on so many years of having the dream job I could have ever imagined.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy is to stay consistent with promoting myself, my brand and know that anyone is a potential client. Word of mouth has been a blessing for me.
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
Word of mouth. I have had many people come to me and reach out to me based off of someone else’s commission or just someone thinking of me for a project that I knew nothing about.
