We recently connected with Jeremy Gregory and have shared our conversation below.
Jeremy, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
This journey started when I was 5 years old. As a little boy, I grew up in a musical family and would always run around the house singing every chance I got; until one day my grandmother hear me singing to the top of my lungs and rushed into the room and said ” Boy if you don’t turn that radio down “, I responded “Granny that isn’t a radio, that was me singing.” She stood there In shock and immediately told my mom to sign me up for the Church children choir. From that moment forward I knew deep down this was something that I loved and wanted to do, just by the way it made me feel when I was doing it. Fast forward, I recorded my first gospel album at the age of 12 w/ Tabernacle Baptist Church Youth Choir. While in that moment it was something that I had never experienced before and I knew that I wanted to keep growing in the industry to get to the top.
By the time I was a senior in high school, I had reached heights that most wouldn’t have. I was 17, in 3 school choirs, Youth choir at church, been on a national tour, sang with Josh Groban, place top in all city and all state choirs, and recorded a gospel album. This opened the doors for a Full paid Music scholarship for college along with the sports that currently played. The windows of opportunity was endless at this time. However, my parents wouldn’t allow me to pursue music without an education. While in college, I didn’t like the music program as much as I thought I would, but I stuck with it and my sports. After my first Bachelors of Music Education, I went back to school for my second Bachelors of Business and my MBA, this time around I completely let music go as I didn’t feel it was going to ever happen as I was getting no where in a small town. I had completely lost my passion for music and fully invested in sport at this point. After getting my last degree my passion and drive for music was complete gone at this point and wanted nothing to do with it. However, something inside of me kept nudging me to go back to it, I wouldn’t listen.
Fast Forward, I made the decision to pack my car up w/ $500 in my pocket and moved to a city that I had never been too. Los Angeles was home of the Stars and I knew that It wouldn’t be easy but I was at a point in life that I was ready to make moves and chase my dreams. I took a huge leap of faith by moving to LA to chase my dreams, auditioned for season 15 of American Idol. During this process I was homeless and slept in my car for 6 months working 2 jobs and preparing for the many auditions under a bridge that had really good acoustic to hear myself. I was able to get to Hollywood week and didn’t make it into the top 24. I took what I learned from those auditions and kept pushing forward to audition for season 10 of The Voice. I pushed through all of their behind the scenes auditions but did not make the cut for the Blind Auditions.
I didn’t let the outcome of not making it onto either show stop me. I learned from the mistakes that were made within the auditions and put in the work with some people that I met during these auditions. In 2017, I released my Debut single Dream. This was and still is my baby simply because it was me finding myself again and finding my passion again for the love of music again. Since this moment we have been working no stop, releasing 6 addition singles along with lots of Ghost writing for several well know artist. It’s been 5-8 year of hardwork, dedication, and lots of prayer. There is so much more instored for the 2023 season with Jeremy Gregory Music, you don’t want to miss out.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

We’d love to hear your thoughts on NFTs. (Note: this is for education/entertainment purposes only, readers should not construe this as advice)
I personally think NFT’s are changing the game right now. I don’t personally know much about the space, however, I do know that Snoop Dogg bought Death Row Records and dropped his first NFT under the label, made 10 Million in a day. Which leads me to believe there is about of learning as a creative that needs to be done in that virtual world. I am truly fascinated with the idea and eager to learn more.
Are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
As a creative, DO YOU RESEARCH ON EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE! There are so many steps that I missed when first first starting out such and knowing that my Music is a business. Get that LLC and make your career your reality. Make sure everything is in writing when working with anyone such as Photographers, videographers, engineers, PR Reps and etc. Leave no stone unturned.
