We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Camille Scott. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Camille below.
Camille, appreciate you joining us today. Parents can play a significant role in affecting how our lives and careers turn out – and so we think it’s important to look back and have conversations about what our parents did that affected us positive (or negatively) so that we can learn from the billions of experiences in each generation. What’s something you feel your parents did right that impacted you positively.
One of the best things my parents did for me while growing up, is instilling in me the concept of exercising your gifts for the benefits of others, and not yourself. Through countless acts of service and support, I watched them pour into others without expectation, which has molded me into who I am as a woman and business owner. Both being born (1950 & 1953) and raised in the South with large families, I think it was something always instilled even through my grandparents to look out for whoever needed to be looked out for, not just family. Passing this down to me, even if they weren’t aware pushed me to start my business. I see a need, and want to fill it, regardless of challenges business owners may think they’ll encounter by outsourcing. This concept has followed me in my business, career, and personal life. Their selfless hearts and concept of purpose being for people is an instrumental value that shapes all areas of my life.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
Organization is the silent ambassador of any brand, so how are you being represented? Founded on her gifts of organization and administration, as well as the heart to serve others like her grandmothers Clara & Bernice both did, The Clarice Desk, LLC provides workflow solutions to the busy professional and growing entrepreneur through virtual assistance and systems strategy. Knowing some of the biggest challenges that business owners face include automation, contracts/invoicing, social media management, and more, Camille takes pride in the one on one partnerships she forms to assist in creating a flawless back office system. Through her services, business owners can expect to work with Camille to deliver the critical pieces of information needed to execute the strategy needed to grow their business. Also a Certified Dubsado Specialist (a client relationship management software that’s great for service providers), Camille takes pride in her “done for you” setups, that help business owners eliminate repetitive tasks that aides in them making money in their sleep through the software’s premium features.
Launched in December 2019, Camille took her passions for helping business owners with administrative tasks and turned it into profit. Combining her grandmothers names seemed fitting as she knew that when she might question her purpose, the strength and servant leadership they exhibited would keep her pouring into others. Initially focusing on Virtual Assistance, in 2021, Camille shifted to helping business owners strategize how systems can help run a more effective business. By doing so, this helped business owners across the country focus their time on their service/product, and not overwhelm themselves with the stressors of administrative based tasks.
Overall, seeing business owners scale their business to heights just by implementing these systems has been Camille’s greatest joy. Providing these services to those who weren’t aware how they’d benefit them, without losing their relational connections with customers is the forefront goal whenever a client inquires about her services.
Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
It is critical for service providers to have a CRM (client relationship management) software that they use to manage their relationships. People often times worry that by using a CRM, they’ll loose “personality” when sending emails, proposals, etc. I’m able to embed videos of myself speaking to clients, add gifs, customize emails and so much more through Dubsado. My clients receive automated emails, and I’m notified every step of the way when actions through workflows occur so that I can ensure they’re being “talked to”.
I also automate check ins after their time with me is complete, just so they can give me feedback on my services, learn what new services I offer that may interest them, and offer discounts for returning clients. Automation should not be looked as something robotic.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Find your tribe! Be very specific and intentional about the audience you’re trying to reach. When I became a virtual assistant, one of my best friends added me to any and all Facebook Groups for V.A.s trying to grow in their business, had job opportunities, and just a sense of community. I did the same when I pivoted to doing Dubsado setups. I joined Facebook Groups geared towards Dubsado and Systems Strategists, and I searched industry specific hashtags on Instagram to follow others like me.
It’s okay to not know your target market at first, but I highly suggest figuring out your niche when you can so that you can design your marketing accordingly, and therefore, increase revenue.
