We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jenniffer Baez . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jenniffer below.
Jenniffer, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
I have always been a person who loves to take risks, for me taking risks is an adventure. I usually evaluate the risks I take ahead of time. I carefully evaluate what will be the necessary steps to achieve it and then I focus on it. Many times we seek opinions from people who have taken similar risks to find out if we are on the right path, but throughout my life I have learned to be selective when asking for someone’s opinion or advice. I always consult with people who I observe have had successes and people who have taken positive risks, so I don’t talk about my plans with everyone.
I have lived in several countries: Germany, Argentina, Portugal and the United States. Each country meant a different challenge. I had to start from zero in each of them such as language and culture challenges and job searches.
One of the ways I was able integrate myself in whichever country i was in was by studying the language and culture differences. That made it easier for me to learn about their history and to socialize. It was important to find out about the people of the countries we migrated to, so we could adapt to their ways.
Taking risks is my way of life. I learn more and more from each risk that i take by analyzing where I am going to and what that place can offer me. I see from each point of view how women and Latinos are treated and how they treat the migrants in general.
When I started with the project of my radio program Entre Mujeres y un Clavel, it was simply an idea and it arose from the need to face the new culture where I had to live in, seeing the injustices of many women, the abuse in the work environment for not being European, the lack of professionalism, as well as the machismo, something I was not used to.
My radio project was to raise voices, the silent voices of many who didn’t have the strength to speak, that’s how we started and today we have reached more than 70k followers on social networks like Instagram.
Taking a risk starting from zero is not an easy task there are usually casualties, little motivation at times and the desire to give up everything. But in many cases it has been our followers who have motivated us to continue, by reading their feedbacks such as “your words were what I needed to get up today, “thank you for your words they lifted me up”,”we like your page”,”You motivated me to work daily”.
New challenges have come through online work, such as face-to-face workshops where we participate as Coaches, bringing hope to peoples lives, trying to fill them with strength and self-love in their hearts. Every day is a new challenge and we must continue to work on it.
We have taken the risk of launching ourselves into a project without a budget and without investing money, just effort and time in the first two years, but today we can see the fruit of our work and that is very gratifying.
We plan to move forward and continue working to innovate “Entre Mujeres Y un Clavel” to bring a positive message to more people and continue changing the perception in which we see the world and how we position ourselves in it.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
Entre Mujeres y un Clavel is a podcast-type radio program and instagram/facebook social media that helps women raise their self-esteem, through messages and interviews with people who have stood out socially as migrants.
We are a program that encourages society to empower itself and see that others with economic limitations or social hardships have been successful.
Showing that the limitations are mental and that everything is possible, we set out and look for the tools that are needed to achieve your dreams, since they help us to stay alive. Remembering that healthy love is the foundation to get where we want to be.
Self-love is non-negotiable and demanding respect. Equality is not something that should be taken lightly, We all deserve them. God makes everything possible in putting a purpose to your life and it is the message that we carry through our social networks.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
I had to unlearn to stop listening to the opinions of people around me, focus more on those who were involved in the project and push away people who wanted to intervene with their own concepts of the program, outside of what I planned as a producer, I had to be very demanding to to carry out the project plan.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
My particular goal is to impact the lives of all people that are in need and have difficulties in their lives, to be a radio program that can reach and change the lives of many people in a positive sense, we can see less femicides, less women violated, families violated, make wise decisions about who our partners will be and improve the quality of life of people, that many can forge goals and have dreams and achieve them.
