Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Michael White . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Michael, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Do you wish you had started sooner?
I’ve always wanted to sing but never found the confidence until way later into my 20’s. I was doing karaoke a lot and a lot of people were asking me if I had my own music and I kept saying no. They told I should, and at the time my partner at the time told me to make my own music.
I feel like there’s still time for me but I feel like I should have started earlier. But the resources that I have now weren’t out there before. Now it’s so easy to make your own music independently. I’m happy I started when I did. Without that push from people, I don’t think I would have started when I did.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m Michael White. I make Pop/R&B music and I’m a vocalist. I started making music in 2019 after a tough breakup and just continued to power through the heartbreak and let music heal my pain.
Along throughout my music journey, I figured out my way to make connections and find my way into a recording studio and started making projects happen.
Some things I wish I did better was take the time and put the money in to make a quality good song. I did things cheap, since making music is insanely expensive. But with the cheap route your get a cheap sound and not a quality product.
I’m proud of what I’ve achieved in 4 years. It’s not easy and it takes hard work and I’m starting to feel like some of that work is paying off.
One thing you should know is that I take full pride in my music making career. I do everything myself from the writing, the booking of sessions and photo shoots, I design and edit all of my own artwork and do what I can to put myself out there.
Which is scary but if you don’t do it you’ll never know what could have been.

How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?
Honestly it’s all about showing up and being supportive. It’s important to know that people support your journey and show up for you.
People can say it all they want, but it all comes down to the actions. Sharing your work, listening to your music or coming to your art show gallery. It all starts with you making the step to see the work your proud of to know that they’re being supportive of you.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
For me as a musician and being able to perform, it warms my heart to know that I can make people feel something in a way that means something so different to me. That’s how you know you’re really making people feel emotions and feel your music. It’s super rewarding.
