Alright, Britney thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. One of the things we most admire about small businesses is their ability to diverge from the corporate/industry standard. Is there something that you or your brand do that differs from the industry standard? We’d love to hear about it as well as any stories you might have that illustrate how or why this difference matters.

I include God in everything I do. God is the reason I have the gift so using the gift for his glory is only right.

Britney Jones born and raised in Detroit Michigan. A mother of four children, wife of Darrell Jones, lover of God and owner of Beautiful Soul Cosmetics and Artistry. She spent most of my youth operating out of characteristics that weren’t so beautiful. After falling in love with God, She fell in love with the beauty inside of her waiting to be released. She worked hard creating new habits, characteristics, mindsets and a lifestyle that exemplify a Beautiful Soul. Britney believes that the change she wants to see, would first have to begin in her. Life is better when you know who you are and show up that way. Britney lives to encourage, motivate and uplift others that may have went through the same identity crisis she did and what better way than through the beauty industry.

Beauty is often seen by the outer appearance but Beautiful Soul Cosmetics speaks to the soul. When beauty is seen from the inside it uplifts others from the inside. They can hate the beauty but they’ll never forget the soul!

Britney started her journey in the beauty industry far before she really knew but it became official the year of 2020. Makeup to a beautiful soul is for enhancement, enjoyment and an added pop to who we already are. We make the makeup the makeup doesn’t make us. Beautiful Soul Artistry inspiration came from her Brother Ronald Black Jr may God rest his soul. He changed atmospheres with his soul, character and smile. Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

My ability to be my authentic self. Many people suffer with this because the world has created an image of how makeup artists should look. I promised myself to do this Gods way and the people have fallen in love with it.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?

Social media and word of mouth. These two things has help my business to grow tremendously in the last 2 years. Doing Facebook live videos and people enjoying the artistry.
