Alright, Neelomie thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s start with what makes profitability in your industry a challenge – what would you say is the biggest challenge?
Finding quality people that understands the industry and work hard
Neelomie, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Growing up I always wanted to have my own salon but never had the opportunity to do so. As I got older I still wanted that dream of having my own salon. The opportunity came up where the owner at the salon I was going to for 11years decided to sell it and I made the decision to buy it. Going into this industry has taught me a lot about being a business owner. As business owners we all face challenges on a daily basis but we have to continue to believe in ourselves and keep pushing. I think when you love what you do and you’re walking in your purpose it makes it more gratifying and worthwhile. Building that relationship with your clientele is very important to your business. I want to be more impactful in my community by making others feel good about themselves. Building a strong team is vital to any business, I strive on having a great team of employees who is gentle and caring. The thing that sets us apart from other businesses is our customers service skills, following-up with the clientele and making our selves available.
How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?
During Covid I decided to work three job and start saving up my money because I didn’t want to work a regular 9-5 job.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
The best source for new clientele would be word of mouth, instagram and google
