Teerra, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What do you think it takes to be successful?
I think it takes believing in yourself and dedication. If you don’t take yourself serious no one else will.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I got into my business by finally quitting a 9 to 5 job and taking that same dedication I was giving to someone else’s business and devoted it to my own business. I knew what I wanted to do so I decided to stop putting off my dream for tomorrow and make it happen today. I started my own cleaning company and decided I wanted to work in some of the biggest homes because I’ve always loved a challenge. I branded my own company invested in myself and got up each and everyday determined because not only was it my own business it became my only source of income. Once things got successful I knew I could continue to do anything and everything else I wanted to, now I’m working on my own dating show.
Any advice for managing a team?
Be great be fair be you. Stay in control and always separate your business from your personal life. If you take your craft serious you don’t have to worry about anyone not taking it serious. Stay focus and make sure you open a door for communication. Set your ground rules and stand on them.
Can you talk to us about how your side-hustle turned into something more.
I wouldn’t say it was a side hustle but it’s very true I turned what I loved doing into something I could really get paid to do. I love cleaning and rearranging things around. I would typically change my home around on Monday and by Thursday decide to rearrange. I love the feeling of people coming over and not wanting to leave because the place is so relaxed. So when I started my cleaning business what better way than to make someone feel good on coming back home to a spotless home they didn’t have the time to clean.
