Alexus, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?

Lexilu Handbag were created when I try to find a crossbody bag and fanny pack that fit me while going on vacation to Vegas and 2021. I had the same problem in 2021 when going to Jaamica after that I had enough. I was determine when I came back home I was going to fix the problem.Part of being entrepreneur is finding a need and meeting it. I know I’m stop the only plus size home that had this problem. I start designing the bag and it wasn’t until I was in church in seen my dad playing the guitar and he is pretty big guy I notice the guitar strap wrap around him and that’s when it hit me . That the straps would be custom guitar straps.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

I am a wife, mom ,pastor kid and entrepreneur . I am also a daycare boss . I love what I do and I love being entrenpenur. I’m new to this industry. Daycare is completly different. I don’t have to do a lot of social media and posting about the center most of my customers come from word of mouth but this industry it take a lot of promoting but Lexilu Handbags takes patience and perservincing I think if most people knew there was a brand that would fit me comfortably they will but it

There is not a lot of things that benefits plus size women And usually when people create things for plus size women they are not cute or stylish, But are bags are cute, stylish and affordable, And the one of the things I love about my bags everyone can fit they are adjustable to all sizes which make them pretty dope.

I’m most proud of having a brand that will help others feel comfortable and their skin,

We’d really appreciate if you could talk to us about how you figured out the manufacturing process.

Finding a vendor was such a hard part of this process. I literally stayed up all night one night googling purse manfauctered . Its so many scams going on it was hard to trust a company that would not scan me, But, I found one and I love them , They are in china so sometimes I stay out a little longer just to communcaite with them but it was worth it .

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?

I do a lot of vending shows almost every Saturday and Sunday too I am during vending for local small business , It gets a little tiredsome but I love meeting other local entrepreneurs and it is always good to network.
