We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Woodsheil Dominique a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, Woodsheil thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?

Our mission is to create wearable works of art that expands the boundaries of the imagination. I just want to add my artistic twist to the world of fashion.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I been an artist for as long as I can remember, I 1st got introduced to fashion designing back when I was about 10, my aunt was going to fashion school but wasn’t the good of a sketcher so she had me help her with her sketches for school. I kept drawing all those years but it wasn’t until 2014 that I decided to start a clothing brand, at 1st I started by designing t-shirts and then feom there I got more into textile designing.

Can you talk to us about manufacturing? How’d you figure it all out? We’d love to hear the story.

It took me some time and a few disappointments before I found the right vendors that could deliver my vision, in the beginning of my journey I definitely came across a few vendors that didn’t deliver on what was promised but with patience and thank God for the internet I finally was able to find some vendors that satisfy my need for now.

Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?

YouTube has been my best friend ever since I started my business, I ibsay whatever service or product that you are offering to the public watch as many related videos as possible that you can find on the subject.
