We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Denia Linares. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Denia below.
Denia, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you tell us a story about a time you failed?
This topic has been a familiar place for me on this journey. Many of us don’t like to admit it, but when you take on the journey to become a business owner and help others. Experiencing failure comes with the territory. These are called receipts; the hardship, struggles, and breakdowns allow you to walk confidently after overcoming those darkest moments of your life. Not many people will be a witness to what you’ve been through. But You have, and that’s what sets you apart. You, indeed, can’t be afraid to fail. When you decide to step into your purpose and mission, you also accept the moments of failure, the “no that didn’t work,” and “now I have to start over”. In reality, you’re not starting from zero; you’re starting again, so you have some knowledge.
Speaking From a place of experience, I had to start many times again, which now I can proudly say. I look at what many call “failures” to what I call Lessons; without these life lessons, I know I wouldn’t be here today. I went through a mental breakdown and didn’t know how I would get out but one thing I knew for sure was I believed in the vision God placed in my mind. When I thought, I decided I would no longer do hair. It felt like my whole world was under, as though I wasn’t who I was and had no idea what to do next.
One thing I kept hearing replay in my mind was, ” this is not the end. ”
This last year I thought it was clear that I would no longer do hair, so I decided to explore other options. I was reflecting and making changes in my career. When I realized I had rebranded myself seven times throughout my beauty career. It felt like one of the darkest moments of my life. I have never in my life experienced this type of “fall” or how I like to express it as my life Transformation. It took a toll on my body, mind and challenged my spirit.
One thing I know is that the fire in me still kept flickering even in the darkest hour. Its a process to what’s next, your not meant to stay in that season too long, “failure” is a season and not a permanent residence

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
A healer in two ways. One, cultivating a customized natural healing process for my client’s curls and their lives outside of beauty through healing conversations. Once clients sit in their chairs, they quickly find a deeper meaning behind every hair clip and cut during their discussion. Our talks with my clients open the door to healing journeys while providing beauty from the inside out. You see, when my clients open up about their hair struggles, that’s the easiest––I have been sharing customized beauty tips for the needs of my client’s unique hair needs for most of her life. Each client is guaranteed to walk out feeling beautiful and satisfied with their hair. I separate myself from the competition by helping my clients see that beauty goes beyond feeling skin deep and allows them to see themselves, their lives as beautiful as well. They call me DeniaHeals .
