Alright, Charlene thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What sort of legacy are you hoping to build. What do you think people will say about you after you are gone, what do you hope to be remembered for?
I want to be remembered as a person who impacted bringing Haitian cream liqueur to the forefront as not just a sort of holiday eggnog but a frequent indulgence in any form.

My name is Charlene Absalon, and I am the founder of Cremas Absalon. Cremas Absalon was founded to showcase Haiti’s popular cream liqueur beverage. Our product line includes Cremas, Cremas Ice Cream, and Cremas Coffee Creamer. We pride ourselves on making versatile Cremas products that reflect Haitian culture’s historical and modern ways.
I became a small business owner to change how my generation perceives cremas & showcase liqueur products from or inspired by Haiti. The goal is to resolve the lack of knowledge associated with Haitian alcoholic beverages, dairy desserts, and the unavailability of Haitian food, drink, and products in specialty stores or regular grocery stores.
What sets my brand apart is the authenticity and flavor profiles within each variety. When my customers tell me my products taste like home, I know I did a good job.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
Customer Service and capturing the taste buds of a country.
On this journey, I realized that people want to be heard and resolve any issue. When it comes to my customers, I stop to listen. Whether it’s a compliment or complaint. Address all matters accordingly promptly.
Making a consumable product inspired by a country should taste like that country. Building memories off the first bite.

Social Media and email campaigns have worked well as a means to stay in tough with my customers.
