We recently connected with Jenny Kalimi and have shared our conversation below.
Jenny , appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to start by getting your thoughts on what you are seeing as some the biggest trends emerging in your industry
Right now we are really seeing a beautiful wave of men and women exploring jewelry differently. A lot of my clients at the moment are men, and they are not afraid to take risks. It’s exciting to see the shift between men preferring a dainty pearl necklace, as opposed to the women who are pairing dresses with thick silver Chrome hearts like chains. These unisex trends are here to stay for awhile.

Jenny , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I have the pleasure of bringing jewelry visions to life! I design as well as curate a jewelry collection for my clients. I began with an online store selling both thrifted and wholesale pieces that I fell in love with. After collecting a fair amount of pieces, a good friend of mine and celebrity stylist Norma Castro reached out to me with an interest of renting some of my jewelry for a video shoot. After a couple more inquiries from other stylist I began reshaping my business into both an online store as well as a Jewelry and accessories mobile showroom. Helping stylist bring their visions to life through unique jewelry pieces and cutting their time in half from searching a million different stores at once. What I love most about my business is that I’m able to provide my everyday customers with designs worn by their favorite celebrities.
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
I am very grateful to say that majority of my new clients have been from referrals. I think in any business it’s important to be yourself and build honest relationships. It’s crucial to me to make sure I understand my clients needs and make sure they know mine so we can continue to grow and create together.

Do you sell on your site, or do you use a platform like Amazon, Etsy, Cratejoy, etc?
When I am selling online I release a collection of pieces for a short amount of time on my glamour hippy site. Some of my production or thrifted pieces that are lightly used, I like to sell on my poshmark page. Both platforms have really worked for me. I love being able to answer direct questions about pieces on my poshmark but I also like releasing a collection on my own time.
