Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Swetha Janamanchi. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Swetha, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Almost all entrepreneurs have had to decide whether to start now or later? There are always pros and cons for waiting and so we’d love to hear what you think about your decision in retrospect. If you could go back in time, would you have started your business sooner, later or at the exact time you started?
It’s about the journey & achieving the dream.
It would have been a smooth journey if I had discovered the interest sooner. But I am enjoying every bit of it.
I remember the time after my MBA when I thought, what’s next? I have sailed a few career boats and slowly figured those are not something I would enjoy doing for a longer time. I took a pause, got married & welcomed the next chapter in my life. After about three years of marriage & a baby, the most incredible thing happened to me. I learned that I enjoy editing & taking pictures.
Without any delay, I pursued my career as a photographer.
So, it’s more about when you discover your path; we should pursue it. I had to make many hard decisions, tons of planning to manage the baby and the family, sleepless nights, and whatnot! But the key is how well you stand against the odds; everything pays off when we achieve our dreams, and it’s worth it.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Photography made my life complete. It’s been 4 years since I started my career and since then every experience, every shoot was so joyful & and taught me a lot. My clients & I both walked away with the best experience we could have.
At the beginning of my career, It was a bit hard to penetrate the market. I have done many collaborations, advertisements, and social networking helped me to connect with people.
My photography style itself speaks about my work. The ease with which I handle the entire process of the photoshoot makes my clients super comfortable and convenient.
I respect my work & my clients. Without them, I wouldn’t have reached the place I am right now. I thank them from the bottom of my heart.
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
At the beginning of my carrier, I asked my friends to spread the word, once I started getting clients Social Media, mouth publicity, and collaborations helped me a lot in getting new clients.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
My work!! Friendly nature.

I deeply respect my work. I believe in how I treat a person; they reciprocate! I treat my clients as partners.
