We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Patrice Jackson. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Patrice below.
Patrice, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Have you ever seen (or implemented) a really awesome way to show a client you appreciate them
Customer Appreciation in this business climate is more important today than it has ever been. More and more companies are forgoing traditional customer service methods: Contact center phone numbers, and in-person services are a thing of the past. Some companies are even using automation to answer frequently asked questions. This change opens up an opportunity for smaller companies. As a boutique-style business, we at Savvy Professionals plan to use the current status of customer service to show our clients that we are there for them and have their business’s best interest in mind. As virtual assistants, we offer custom packages that are tailor-made just for them and their brands. We ensure that our clients can focus on the purpose and love they have for their business, We love and enjoy handling all their administrative and marketing needs.

Patrice, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
The idea for Savvy Professional started when I was laid off from my job at the same time my grandmother who was also my oldest best friend became ill. I decided to take the time off and dedicate it to spending time caring for her. Since I was home many of my friends would ask me to do favors and handle some small administrative tasks for them. Once I saw the potential for growth and extra income, I created a more professional system for working with clients. Helping my client market and grow their business allows me to use my creative energy and love of all things administrative. Becoming a virtual assistant is one of the best things that ever happened to me.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
Networking! I have found that networking with the idea of just meeting new people and not trying to sell them my service is the way to go. I have met some amazing individuals that sometimes lead to awesome experiences and opportunities. Genuine networking also leads to word-of-mouth growth and community support.
How do you keep your team’s morale high?
Hire where you’re weak but still learn the basics of the job. Make sure you have the right people in the right positions according to their skills and goals. Make sure your team feels valued and they feel like they can grow with the company. Most importantly never allow an employee to work harder for your brand/ business than you do.
