Tonya, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s jump to the end – what do you want to be remembered for?

I hope my legacy will be one that leaves an imprint on the hearts of others. My desire is to build a legacy so powerful and meaningful, that my kids and grandkids reap the benefit. As many entrepreneurs would agree, building anything from ground up is not easy. It takes a lot of courage and tenacity to continue to work towards your goals without reaping the benefits up front. Determination plays a vital role in building a brand and in building a legacy. I hope my legacy will one day build a foundation that educates and assist other interior designers and business owners where they feel depleted. Depleted from the lack of knowledge, lack of funding, lack of visibility and lack of determination. My blood, sweat, and tears of entrepreneurship is one that I don’t take lightly. More importantly, I’m humbled by God’s grace and his willingness to allow me to flourish in my passion.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

I’m a mom, wife, full-time employee and entrepreneur. After many years of trying to find my passion, it resurfaced during Covid. Over the years, I decorating my home and the homes of family and friends for over 15 years. During Covid, I fell back in love with home decor and begin to experiment with making pillows. I made a set of pillows and posted it on Instagram. The response was overwhelming and I took to heart that so many people wanted something that I created. With being said, I got to wok and made what my clients requested…custom home decor.

As a creative and interior designer, I design and create everything from custom pillows, custom drapery and custom wall art. What I enjoy most, is the ability to take my clients problems and find the perfect solution for their needs. Every design project has a unique custom piece made by me. I take to heart my passion to create one of a kind decor that my clients can enjoy for years to come.

I’m most proud of stepping out on faith to fulfill my passion. Everyday is a learning lesson and taking one day at a time helps tremendously in building a successful business and brand.

I want my clients and followers to know that I operate in excellence. My work is a depiction of who I am as a person. My character is representative of a woman with grace, class, and style.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?

My most effective strategy for growing my clientele is my unique creativeness and ability to bring something different to the design table. I’m skilled in making custom home decor, accent wall installation, wallpaper installation, and painting.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

I think being professional and responsive has helped mold my position in interior design. Showcasing my craft in making pillows and drapery that are reflective of a clean, modern style has helped tremendously.
