Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Franks been Dead. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Franks been thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
Art has always been in my family from painters, Doing ceramic work, architecture, and also Cooking it kinda runs in the blood but I ended being the only photographer and I love this field of work ever since I use to shadow my bro Daniel Cruz he taught me a lot and it took me to 25 years of age to finally go for it on my own. Best thing to happen to me since
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My names is franks been dead , from tampa Florida. I’m a photographer and designer, I kinda shot the dark side of things, bring evil and art together and also shot nice things to bring in the light, I’m really random on photos and I like to always be from another world with my art. My style is pretty much mixed with everything since I like to shoot everything, a story teller in a way. I also shoot a lot of music and music was a big part of my career path in the beginning. I’m a published photographer also, having photos in thrasher magazine , news papers, and other magazines local and non local. My main goal is to be one of best in the word which is a odd goal to many but I believe my work could be shown around the world and bring joy is what I can conjure. Recently been working on merchandise and more connections with other artist and working with a lot of great artist like big baby scumbag, lil scumbag, and sunny Fritz to name a few.
How did you build your audience on social media?
In the start of my career I didn’t really care how many photos I spammed the gram with. I love posting work everyday and if it annoys you, oh well. People really enjoy the spam of work I put out it made there timeline interesting and they wanted more so it became a thing to shoot everyday and the more work I put out the more followers and supporters I got
How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?
Respect each other and get the job done and be kind, cause there no reason to be a dick in the industry. I appreciate a lot of the people I shot with and everyone was very respectful about the job at hand. Being open to ideas and mixing ideas with the client is very important it takes two to tango
