We recently connected with Cynthia Williams and have shared our conversation below.
Cynthia, appreciate you joining us today. Can you tell us about a time where you or your team really helped a customer get an amazing result?
I started with Cynthia on Jan 9… probably will never forget that date! I remember being so scared, excited and ready to change my life. Honestly, I assumed this would be like any other program I had done in the past. Go all in for 8 wks, get results, and then celebrate by binging on whatever I wanted… gain all my weight right back. It was a viscious cycle… and what I was doing in the past no longer worked. I was exercising daily and barely eating. I was so frustrated because the weight/inches was not budging. I knew I needed to do something different.
When I first started with Cynthia, I thought I could half ass the nutrition and didn’t need to listen to all the things she was telling me. I thought I could still eat the same foods I was used to eating and somehow see different results. I was wrong. And Cynthia was very clear about it… she told me if I continue doing the same things, I will continue to get the same results. I decided to go all in. The time will pass, why not really give this a try. And I did. And I started seeing good things happen. I actually slept through the night, which I thought was impossible with a snoring husband. I felt GOOD. I had more energy. I was a better mom. Better wife. Happier. And I saw the scale and inches start to go down.
Cynthia helped me learn so much about food, exercise, and most of all self love.
I have struggled with food my entire life. I couldn’t just have one piece of chocolate cake, I would need to eat the entire cake (not exaggerating!). Cynthia helped me focus on mindset. And shifting the way I thought about food. This was huge for me. And life changing!
It’s funny because people assume I lost weight by low calorie, and lots of cardio. Meanwhile, I eat more than I ever have, move more, and exercise less. And IT WORKS! Almost 30 pounds down and so STRONG.

This journey has been a long one, full of ups and downs, but I’m so happy I trusted this process and finally living my best life!! -Erin R.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
There are a three major life experiences that brought me to the place in my career that I am now.
The first experience propelled my career in fitness. I belonged to a local gym, fresh out of college, and the group fitness instructors would never show up to teach their classes. I asked the manager what I needed to do in order to teach the classes. I got my first certification and that was the start of my fitness and nutrition journey.
The second experience and what really drove me to learn nutrition, hormones and gut health was with my gynecologist. She placed me on birth control for birth control reasons, but I had a terrible reaction to it.
I gained 10 pounds in a very short time, my skin was inflamed and hurt to the touch, I was tired, moody, grumpy, emotional. I expressed these symptoms to my doctor. She then switched types of contraceptives but the symptoms only grew worse.
The doctor and her NP were dismissive to me and my symptoms. They told me to eat less , workout more and none of the symptoms I had were related to the birth control. They were not really listening to me. I was a group fitness instructor teaching multiple classes a week… so I should workout more? I meal prepped and ate whole foods, but had reduced my calories so low because of the unexplained weight gain…. so I should eat less?
I took matters into my own hands and cold turkey stopped the birth control. And within a month, the weight had come back off, my symptoms were declining and I felt better than I had in a quite a while.
I knew the birth control was the problem and I wondered how many other women had been in my shoes. Dismissed by their doctor, told that all their symptoms were normal.
This is when it became my mission to educate women and help them to become their own health advocate, take their health and happiness into their own hands.
The third and biggest life event that changed my career trajectory is having my little girl, the love of my life, at the age of 41. After years of being told I would not have children, my little girl finally came to me in the most unexpected time and way.
Having her has taught me compassion and empathy. It has made me a better person and practitioner. Finley was born 3 months before the the pandemic hit. It forced me to change my business model in order to survive the pandemic but also to be at home with her during this time. I am blessed to have been at home with her for her first years.

Have you ever had to pivot?
The pandemic was an incredible life change for me, as for many others. I had my first child in November 2019, and just as I was starting to head back to work after my maternity leave, the pandemic hit.
The anxiety I had suffered initially from the shut down was twofold. I was scared to take my child anywhere or let others into my home in fear of her getting sick, and then two of my companies basically folded. It was absolutely debilitating and paralyzing anxiety for a brief period of time..
Prior to the pandemic, I had three different businesses. One was Worksite Wellness, where my team provided onsite weekly health and wellness classes for companies, the next was a large fitness and nutrition program inside one of the biggest tennis and swim centers in our area, and then last was an online nutrition counseling business.
With the uncertainty of if and when myself and team could get back to work, I piled all my energy and efforts into building and growing my online company.
This online business plan turned out to be the best decision I could have ever been forced to make. My online coaching business skyrocketed, and this opportunity allowed me to stay home with my daughter her first two years of life.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I think staying true to who I was from the start. I am caring and empathetic for my clients but also brutally honest when appropriate to help them succeed.
I have always worked hard, consistently studying to learn more and have never been afraid to admit when I was wrong. I truly care for my clients and to see their success.
