Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Diamond Elyse. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Diamond, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
I’m in the process of creating my first album and this has been the most meaningful project I’ve worked on by far. I started writing for it during this weird time of my life, so I wanted to be intentional about the message of the album and what I chose to write about. It’s really special to me.
Diamond, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’ve been professionally singing for over 5 years now. I come from a musical family, so I’ve known how to sing since a very young age. As I grew older, I started writing songs and putting on performances in high school and I fell in love with music more and more. I’m most proud of my work ethic and how my passion for music fuels that. That is what sets me apart from others the most. Music is so special and important to me. It’s one of the only things that keeps me going and I feel you can experience that through my songs.
How did you build your audience on social media?
I still have a lot of work to do myself. But, some of the tips and advice I’ve been getting is to just show people your talent. There’s an audience for everyone. Someone is going to like your content. All you have to do is post and it really helps to be consistent.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
More than anything, I create because I love doing it. Also, it’s extremely therapeutic for me. But, more and more people listening to my music and looking forward to my new releases by far is the icing on the cake. When you realize that people really like your music… that’s motivation. All of those combined together drives my creative journey.
