We recently connected with Koko Hayashi and have shared our conversation below.
Koko , appreciate you joining us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
I was born and raised in Japan and moved to the United States 6 years ago at the age of 37. Since then, I have been dedicated to introducing beauty and health practices from Japan, including Face Yoga, which is a natural way to regain a youthful appearance. I have worked with celebrity clients such as Kim Kardashian and have appeared on national TV shows such as Good Morning America, Fox, and CBS.
Koko , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
It all started when I was 27 and had a plastic surgery failure. I opted to have an implant in my chin to make it pointy, but after removal, my original chin shape was distorted and left a scar. This made me realize that natural solutions like Face Yoga were a better option.
I began practicing face yoga exercises, maintaining good posture and facial expressions. My face yoga class was even named the #1 popular yoga class at The Yoga Expo Los Angeles 2019, which inspired me to consider expanding my business.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
We are fortunate to have clients like Kim Kardashian which greatly enhances our brand equity. I have attempted other things in the past, but have not been successful. It is crucial to concentrate on your strengths. For me, that is teaching face yoga in a fun and informative manner.
The beauty industry is a highly competitive industry with multiple challenges. Celebrity endorsements are a significant factor in the beauty industry. It is crucial for a company to use all available resources to increase their brand equity in order to succeed.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
I was on SharkTank before, and I was hoping to get the deal. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to succeed. But instead of feeling down, I practiced and studied more to equip myself for the next opportunity. And it paid off!
I was very fortunate that I was able to be on the Steve Harvey TV show and was also able to attend the biggest Yoga Expo this year. So, I’m very blessed and grateful.
